This company has been making Witch Hazel for decades; I like to stick to the 'ol tried and true natural products (with no adverse side effects, like toxicity). It is an astringent which has multiple topical benefits, from cleansing, to skin irritations, to the closing of the pores of the skin as its last act, eliminating (or reducing) the risk of outside pores becoming clogged with things that do not belong there. I bought this because I was looking for 100% witch hazel and what I read on the front of the label, led me to believe it was just that. its not, it contains alcohol. This was the second bottle of witch hazel I had bought. My mistake the first time, plane as day on the front lable, it said it contained alcohol.

Dickinson's Witch Hazel is a great astringent for cleansing one's facial skin. I use it every day at least twice a day. It works as well or better than all those expensive toner products. Dickinson's is 100% natural with the claim it's the only natural clinical grade witch hazel astringent. It's the best astringent I've used. It eases skin irritations as well. I can easily recommend Dickinson's Witch Hazel.
