This was a good little vacuum for me up until about 2 weeks ago. Then it wouldn't suck anything up off the floor, took it apart numerous times. No broken belt, not clogged at all, not sure what the problem is. Very frustrated with it.. don't waste your money! I now have to buy another vacuum.

This vacuum was great for about a month. Now everytime i turn it on, the belt breaks and it stinks up the whole apartment with that burning rubber smell! I've replaced the belt 4 times and it keeps breaking. The roller bar is what's causing it.The roller bar will not move. I even sprayed WD-40 on it and still its stuck. I cleaned off everything that could be causing it to stick but nothings working. So i dont know what is wrong with this vacuum. Everyone else has GREAT reviews about it which is why i bought it. :(

I bought this vacuum cleaner two years ago, and it works great on carpet, but not on bare floors. If you try to use it on bare floors, it will simply spit the debris from the back of the cleaner and not suck it in. I also have a dog, and the vacuum cleaner works very poorly on pet hair; it clogs at least once during every use and i have to disassemble it to unclog it, which is very frustrating. On the other hand, if you don't have a pet and don't need to use it on bare floors, it's fine. The filters become clogged more frequently than the recommended 6 months, so keep that in mind when calculating the overall costs of this cleaner. They run about $10 and should ideally be replaced every other month if you vacuum regularly.

I've only had this vacuum about a week but I'm very impressed already. I used an Oreck XL for many years, it was light weight and easy to maneuver but got clogged easily and replacement bags got pretty expensive. Then I got a Bissell Healthy Home that cleans great and runs quiet but it's so heavy it's hard to get around the furniture especially in small bedrooms and it's hard to do stairs with the hose. So, I saw this Dynamite on sale and the light weight really appealed to me. I figured that at one-eighth of what I paid for the Bissell, how could I loose? I'll start with the bad features. It's very noisy. It may be breaking in and the high pitched squeal may be getting somewhat better, but still it's annoying. Also, the cord is too short. With the Bissell I can do the whole first floor with the cord plugged in at a central spot. With the Dynamite I have to plug it in 3 times to reach everywhere. No attachments (but this also keeps the weight down). Now, for the good points. It's very lightweight. Like the old Oreck, it's light enough that I can do stairs with it pretty easily. It's also easy enough to get around all the furniture. It also bends low enough to get under furniture. It switches from carpet to bare floor without needing any adjustments. It cleans bare floors much better than the Bissell (which scattered dirt more than it picked up on bare floor). It does an excellent job on carpet. The dirt cup is easy to empty. The Dynamite isn't a cyclonic type so the suction is going to depend on the filter. The filter isn't washable so I did vacuum it off with the hose brush on the Bissell already. I hope by doing that occasionally the filter will be able to function effectively longer. I'm going take of one star due to the noise and short cord, but really, if I factor in the low price, I consider the Dynamite a 5 star purchase.

After spending a lot of money on the Infiniti vacuum, thinking it would do such a wonderful job I was a little let down so I took it back and decided to go simple. I was a little skeptical since this vacuum is so compact but was pleasantly surprised. I think the first person was right by saying the less attachments the better the suction... it really works great! I got it home, pulled it right out of the box and went to work. It pulled so much junk from my carpet even though I had already gone over it with the Infiniti. I am SOOO happy with my purchase. I have a small house so having a small vacuum is great for storage. I picked up a handheld cordless vac for the couch, corners etc., rather than having the handtools. I love that this vacuum doesn't have all the extras, it's very simple and it works great. My only con is that it's pretty loud but I will gladly take the noise if it's getting the job done.
