This is a great lawn product. One of the reasons we like it is its lightweight construction & power. The rechargeable battery goes for an hour on low & a half hour on high speed. It takes about an hour to recharge. Its quieter than traditional ones which makes it less obnoxious if you want to use it at a time when neighbors might resent the noise. Because its light, its easy to use it for other jobs as well, like blowing leaves from the gutters & atop higher bushes. Its also easy to crawl around shrubbery & get those pesky ones that rakes can't get to. Its light enough for capable children to help out with plant beds & around planters. Because there aren't fumes to worry about we also used it several times indoors as well. Worked great on feathers after a pillow fight & was useful for corralling other debris for vacuuming. Powerful for its size, efficient & quiet make it a useful tool=would definitely recommend if you're in the market for something lightweight.
I love my new leaf blower...it's not a power house but neither am I and this leaf blower did exactly what I wanted it to do...blow away pine needles, dust, leaves, sticks and pesky spiders. I feel bad about harming the spiders but I keep walking into their webbing or butt string as my kids like to call it and it's getting in my eyes..I know that seems gross but it's more annoying to me, blurring my vision than being gross! When I got this Snapper leaf blower It was nice that it was a brand I recognized and though it came with instructions it was pretty self explanitory. I liked how everything attached easily with really no effort and yet it was still hefty/sturdy feeling in my hands. My husbands broke and that thing was so awfully heavy and dragging a cord around didn't make it any better. I actually had fun using this machine...and in a gleeful sort of way felt powerful at hurtling the spiders out of their homes by tornado style force. It was short lived though...I went and picked up the spiders and put them out into the yard, into some bushes...yeah yeah...i'm a bleeding heart. Anyhoo this leaf blower is cordless and comes with a battery charger and one battery. The battery clicks into the charger base and a light come on to indacate it's charging, it will also tell you how much juice you have left in the battery. It charges up pretty decent but can take a little over an hour to power up fully. On a full battery you will get a least an 1/2 hour of work done with the leaf blower which is perfect for me because it usually takes me about 20 minutes to get the porch and driveway cleaned up. The blow tube does seem to be thin plastic but is sturdy unless your planning on banging the machine around I can see it getting damaged quickly and it twists into the base easy. There is a tab that when you turn the leaf blower on you can lock it in place and that will keep it running at high, otherwise you use your thumb to press the button to turn on and can go high or low that way. Pros: Set up/take apart is easy Fairly quick charge Charging indacator light Color lights to show how much power you have on battery Not overly heavy Angle tip for precise blowing Thumb tab to lock power button in place Easy to understand instructions Easy to wipe down (unplug first) Handle feels comfortable in grasp Cons: I saw nothing about this product I disliked. I would buy again and recommend.
I have fallen in love with the Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower. I had a leaf blower that needed an electrical outlet and about 200 feet of extension cord. With the Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower, no cord needed. Now, I must confess that when I got the Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower it was during the winter and and the weather was not conducive to using any type of blower except a snowblower. However, on the first clear day, I put the Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower to the test. It performed like a champ. The Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower comes in four parts. The charger, the battery, the motor and the blower tube. The Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower is lightweight and YOU DON'T NEED AN EXTENSION CORD. Once the battery gets a full charge, it lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half. I highly recommend the Snapper 60V Brushless Axial Blower and should, without a doubt, be added to your arsenal of yard work tools.
I really didn't know what to expect with this battery powered leaf blower. Haven't had much experience with any other ones except my Dad's old gas powered one. I was impressed with the power it had even though it was battery powered. It was also less clunky, lighter weight, and didn't spill gas on my shoes, so that is a win in my book! I had no trouble at all clearing the leaves out from around our big tree and small fenced off side area. It may not be good for someone with a large area to maintain, but for me it was perfect. One battery charge worked for the area I used it in. Easy to assemble and easy to learn. After I read the book I'm sure I could explain how to use it in a minute to someone who had never used it before. Since you can use this battery in multiple tools, I'd love to get some others so I can use them this summer, especially the grass trimmer. I like that the battery also has a LED guage on it so that you know how much power is remaining. We had snows a few times recently, but the last one was a very airy, non sticky snow, so I was able to keep a path cleared off the porch and off my truck. So even though its a leaf blower, it worked for light snow dust as well.
The Snapper 60 Volt rechargeable blower is one unit in a series of Snapper yard tools with interchangeable batteries. The series also includes a chainsaw, pruner, string trimmer, and even a lawnmower (the mower requires two batteries). The batteries charge in about one hour and seem to carry enough power to last through a normal sized yard's worth of leaf relocation. Considering it is winter and I had no leave to relocate, I did successfully manage to clear the drive and sidewalks of snow. The blower without battery is just about the same weight as my corded leaf blower. Adding the battery, the Snapper 60 volt blower is the same weight as my gas blower. That being said, why would you want to spend three times as much on a cordless blower or twice as much on gas blower? The two biggest positives are portability and noise levels. I am one of the minority of yard workers that wears hearing protection while running gas powered equipment. It is awesome to be able to use the blower without ear plugs. I can accomplish the same thing with my corded blower, without being restricted by cord length. So.... the real question is whether or not the Blower is worth bringing home. The quality is outstanding and the performance is no slouch either. But the cost is no trifling matter. There cheaper ways to get the job done. Had I not received the product to evaluate, I would probably pass - simply due to the cost. Truly a great product, just a costly one.
