Disney Cars Lightning McQueen Toddler Bed

We bought his bed for our 2 year old son and he absolutely loves it and runs to bed for nap and bedtimes. The only complaint I have about this bed is that it should have come with the base for the mattress to sit on because when you buy a bed everything should be included; luckily the mattress holder for his crib fit in the bed so we didnt have to stop what we were doing to go buy anything else for this bed. Overall, the bed is wonderful, colorful and very toddler friendly and adds excitement to his room.

I bought this bed for my two year old. He loves cars so I knew he would love it. When the box arrived I opened it up and there were decals missing. I had to call the little tikes number to order some (Make sure you print your order confirmation and save the email so you can send it to them! They ask for it.) The decals took about a week to arrive. The bed over all was a bit challenging to put together, I could get all but one piece together easily. With some fighting I finally got it together. It is a must to have the springs from a crib or you can buy the box spring separate. ( I used the springs from my sons crib) Otherwise the toddler mattress will sink right in. They do say you can use ply wood, but seeing how wood wont stay in place that well I suggest using the springs. There is a small gap between the bed and the side of the car when the mattress is put in. However, nothing major to worry about. I suggest loads of patience when applying the stickers, they are a pain to put on, but stickers always are! Over all my son loves this bed so much and he has no problem sleeping in it. I recommend it to anyone who has a child that loves cars.

It was difficult for the parts to snap into place, material is cheap. I am disappointed that the stickers are already peeling off.:( Anyway, the bed looks cute and my son loves it but Little Tikes really have to do something about the stickers. Not to mention I think the bed is overpriced.

The look on my son's face when he saw his new bed is beyond description. The bed is truly a nice replica of Lightning McQueen--with stickers and all. The pictures do not do it justice. The biggest issue that my husband ran into when putting it together was that the pre-drilled holes for the tires were not lined up correctly. However, he was able to make the necessary adjustments and get them securely placed. Had it not been for the issues with the holes, he would have gotten the bed together in less than thirty minutes. Just make sure that you give yourself a little extra time to put the stickers on, especially if this is being given as a surprise. There are alot of stickers. The one plus that we discovered is that the frame from our 4-in-1 crib fit into the base of the toddler bed to serve as the mattress support. We had planned to buy the recommended piece of plywood, as stated in the instructions, but were pleasantly surprised to find out that we already had the appropriate support. The second plus we discovered is that the sides of the bed come up slightly higher, which insures that our little one will not fall out of the bed. Our son's only complaint is that the bed cannot move and/or be driven around the house. Only from the mind of a child.

My child wont stay out of his new bed. The assembly takes two people and is a little tricky but not overly complicated to assemble. The bed looks adorable and is fairly sturdy however my only complaint is that I had to stuff three queen size comforters to support the mattress. My son didn't mind and neither did I. :-)
