So these sippy cups are great overall .. they dont leak or spill and are very beautiful. Although I feel the the spout of the cup is too short my daughter had a bit of a hard time drink from it. But I loved that I was able to give it to her in the car and no matter how much she shook the cup it didnt spill every where . I have tried many brands in the past and I feel this cup ranks higher on my list. First of all, this cup is durable and stands up to my toddler throwing it on the tile daily. Many others have failed the first time this game was played. Also, out of my three toddlers, my daughter chews hard on everything. She has chewed through other spouts in the past. So far this one has remained unfazed. I also really like how easy the clear rubber piece comes out so this cup can be thouroughly cleaned and dry out completely. My only negative remark is my one son complains the water comes out too slow or not at all. My other son doesn't complain about this and I tried it myself and did nothing the flow is very slow. Yes I have drank out of my kid's cups in the past to have a comparison. This cup doesn't spill unless the clear rubber is removed. All in all, yes I would buy and recommend this particular cup. We found these 9 oz. insulated sippy size cups by First Years the absolutely PERFECT SIZE for our 18 th month old twins who are transfering from bottle to sippy cup at bedtime .Though they've been using their sippy cups since around 6 months they have always had a bottle at bedtime to ensure they are STILL getting their 8 oz. of milk .That's where these 9oz insulated cups come in handy , unlike most all others that will only hold 4 to 6 oz . these hold 9oz. Our twins can still get their 8oz of milk each evening but without the damage that a bottle can do to their brand new baby teeth and the cups insulation keeps their milk nice and cold .While the cups are taller than the average sippy cup the width isn't any wider so our kids dont have any issue with handling them. I have never tried this kind before, but have tried other sippy cups. I liked that it was a short spout. That part was easy for her to get the hang of. However, the clear rubber piece that goes inside to prevent leaking makes it impossible to get any liquid out when drinking. I tried and barely could. If there is a trick, then they need to make it more clear how to use it. I ended up having my daughter use it with no rubber piece. She was able to drink but it spilled at times. I will keep using this as she loves the cute animal designs, and can use it when the piece isn't gone, but wish she could use it as a leak free cup!
