Dixon Oriole Wood-Cased Pencils, #2 HB Soft, Pre-Sharpened, Yellow, 12 Count

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We go through a lot of pencils at work, either from the kids breaking them, or people walking off with them. The Oriole wood-cased pencils have been great so far. The lead is strong, and doesn't break easy. It writes very smoothly and you don't have to apply pressure for it to show up on the paper. The pencils came presharpened, which was nice because I didn't have to waste time sharpening them before the kids could use them. The erasers work well too. A lot of times you get a good pencil but the eraser is mediocre, that's not the case with these, it erases very well! I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for pencils.

We were in desperate need of some good pencils. These arrived just in time and have served their purpose just as we'd hoped they would. These pencils feel sturdy and sharpen easily. The led stays in tight in the tip and my daughter enjoys the quality of the led on paper. We use standard pencil grips on these which fit perfectly and make them even more comfortable in our hands. So far we are super happy with these pencils and would absolutely recommend them to family and friends!

I personally do not like writing with a dull pencil , I am unusally constantly having to stop and sharpen but the oriole pencils keep a point far longer than others.

You can buy the pre sharpened box and send it directly to school with your kid or use them directly without spending time sharpening them. I've had to sharpen pencils before and it's quite time consuming. I love the quality of the markings these pencils make and how smoothly they glide across the paper. I'm a pencil lover and these rank very high on my scale. When you need to sharpen your pencil again it's so well made the sharpening is a smooth process and the graphite in the middle doesn't break off easily. It's super strong graphite without being too hard to write with. Sharpens to a very fine point, which is essential. I love the look and feel of these pencils in my hand. Classic yellow pencil that brings me back. I send them with my teenagers who really like them as well. They sharpen them all the way down and call them their “favorite pencils” because they sharpen to a very sharp point and they love that. Very nice to write with and even better for sketching.
