I buy Dove original all the time, like 30 years. I usually stockpile it. I recently had to go out and replenish my supply and unfortunate to find out that they've changed the formula and it smells terrible and irritates my skin. I will no longer be buying this.
Wish I could give this zero stars!! What is wrong with you, Dove? Why on earth would you change the loveliest, lightest scent of your original deodorant to this new horrific, pungent, smelly trash??!! The new scent gave me an instant headache when I opened the top. I have scent sensitivities and the old Dove deodorant has been my go-to forever. Why, why, why would you do this to your loyal customers. No. One. Asked. For. This.
I've used Dove Original Scent since my 1st anniversary, back in 2000, and every time I used it, it reminded me of the trip my husband and I took to Hawaii. I bought a 2-pack recently and when I used the 1st tube, I thought maybe Dove made a mistake with packaging and filled it with another scent by accident. So, I went back to the store and bought another...same terrible smell. I then went back and smelled a single stick in the store...you guessed it, it was the same horrible smell! I started to think it was my imagination and maybe my nose was just off, until I googled it and EVERYONE is complaining about the same thing. Today, Dove's "Original Scent" is no longer it's ORIGINAL SCENT. Why would Dove change the scent and not the name of it?? This is total deception to your faithful customers that have loved it for so many years! It took me so long to find a scent that didnt irritate my skin or nose and you totally ruined it. Sadly, I'll be looking for a new deodorant because this new "Original Scent" is a horrible mistake...BRING BACK THE TRUE ORIGINAL SCENT...PLEASE!!
They've messed me up. I've been using this stuff for I know 20 years with no problems. Now I have to start all over again searching. The new formula and scent has already broken my under arms out with a rash and itching. I have very sensitive skin. I'm itching from it right now and have bathed and washed it off. I knew something was wrong when I started itching. Dove original has never caused me to itch until now. Can we please get the old formula back???
This is NOT fresh, clean scent you're used to using. I've used this product for several years. Now, it smells more like sweet pea, florally and I HATE IT!! Why would you change this!?? I will never purchase this again and will be changing to a brand that actually smells fresh and clean.
