Dove Ultimate Clear Original Clean Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant, 2.6 oz

The new strong smell and effectiveness is terrible. I have been using this deodorant for over ten years and loved it. I don't understand why the company would change the smell and effectiveness if the entire point of “Original” is to keep the original clean mild smell we all loved. I now have to find a different brand which is so disappointing. Please change it back to its ORIGINAL formula and scent and notify customers so we can come back and purchase again.

I have been using Dove Original clean scent fir over 20 years. I tried the new formulas here and there as they came along and none of them applied as well or worked as well. The change in the original formula has a strikingly different scent and application. As others have mentioned this new formulation has caused both migraines and a rash, but absolutely worst of all my exclusively breast fed infant went on a nursing strike. I had to stop wearing the product all together to get my fed. That is wild! How can unilever possibly call something “original” (implying formulation) when they have clearly changed everything about the product. I'm so frustrated by this change I am going to stop buying all the other dove products I use daily which includes shampoo and conditioner for my husband and I, body wash, body lotion, and baby wash for both of my kiddos. If ulivever is willing to change a product like this with no notice to the buyer they would do it with any of their products. I can't trust a company like that. TL;DR: the texture of the product is slippery and wet in a bad way, the change in scent is noticeable and bad, the protection last for only a few hours, and it gets everywhere leaving residue on clothing. It caused me to have a rash and have a few migraines before I just stopped using the product.

For probably the past 20 years or so, this has been my go-to deodorant. When I opened my newest twin-pack, I thought I was going crazy when I applied my trusty “original clean” deodorant. I double-checked the label and thought maybe I got a bad batch or something. Then I look online to find that many more customers are saying the same thing: this STINKS! If you wanted to have a new scent, just introduce a new product. Don't change a product that your customers have depended on for decades!

I have used Dove Original Clean scented deodorant for as long as I can remember (at least 12 or 15 years). I was disappointed when I bought this last one. There is something changed with the scent. It smells like something is off and it does not smell the same. The deodorant is not as effective either. It seems like it only lasts 5 or 6 hours before I need to reapply. The texture of it feels different as well. I am not happy about the changes Dove made and I am looking for a new deodorant now. I'm not sure I will continue to use this product.

Wish I could give this zero stars!! What is wrong with you, Dove? Why on earth would you change the loveliest, lightest scent of your original deodorant to this new horrific, pungent, smelly trash??!! The new scent gave me an instant headache when I opened the top. I have scent sensitivities and the old Dove deodorant has been my go-to forever. Why, why, why would you do this to your loyal customers. No. One. Asked. For. This.
