The order was due Dec 28th. Today is Dec 26. No way it was "previously delayed". That's OK WalMart. There is always Amazon.

smells fake...like a plastic smell

There's nothing else like Downy.

This classic Downy scent is the best. My mom used it when we are kids and to our family clean clothes smells like downy. The only negative thing I have to say is that for the past few years the formula is more watery. It use to be a lot thicker and all you need is one cap for a large load. Now we have to use 2 caps because one cap just doesn't get the clothes as soft. I hope this is just a fluke and the company will go back to the same formula again. We love buying them at Walmart because Wally always has them in stock and they have a good price on them.

Downey no matter what you compare it to it still turns out the best you could use. There really isn't any comparison it always comes out smelling better and softer for longer.
