My son has acid reflux and these bottles really help with the spitting up and burping problem that he has. They are easy to clean and assemble.
My son loves the nipples on these bottles. Plus the design really does decrease trapped gas which leads to a happier baby. I also like the wide neck bottles which is easier for making formulas. This is a must have even if there are more compartments to clean.
I should start off by saying that I WAS using playtex vent air and soothies bottles to feed my son, and they were making him really gassy which in turn made him a grumpy boy. Every time after a feeding I would go to burp him, and he would burp which made him spit up some of his feeding. I got these bottles today and used them for the first time, and I think they are great! He ate his whole feeding and afterwards I went to burp him and I ended up burping him for a while waiting for something. Finally, I figured it was just the bottle. I could tell the difference right away. Another thing is that I don't hear any air getting sucked through the nipple like I normally do with his old bottles. The only problem that I have with them is that they are a pain to wash and you have to pre-mix the formula before you put it in the bottle. If you don't pre-mix the formula and you make it in the bottle chances are that it is going to leak. Before I bought these bottles I read the reviews on here and some were good and others were bad. But the bad ones were about the bottles leaking. If you READ the directions about the bottle it says clearly not to mix in the bottle otherwise it WILL leak. Even though it has those disadvantages I still would rather do the extra work then have a gassy baby. Now my son is a happy camper!
I love the Dr Browns bottles, but started out with the standard, I wish I had started out with these! They are all around easier/better. The formula mixes much better in these bottle, my daughter can hold these alot easier & they are easier to take with us. If you're going to get Dr Browns, get the wide neck!!!
i bought dr brown wide neck bottles when my son was 1st born and after he would finish drinking i would put it right side up and it would leek a little milk down the bottle.(no i didnt use another kind of nipple i used the one that it came with and closed it tight) i bought another kind and thats when the trouble started. he would cry and cry with colic (at the time didnt know it was colic) . i tryed the other kinda for a couple weeks and then changed back to dr brown and i got to say that was it. they really work! just wished they didnt leek.
