[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had several variable speed rotary kits over the years with various types of sanding bands, which I have primarily used to sand, trim, or shape metal and wood items. However, I have found some new and beneficial uses of sanding bands. I have found the 432 1/2 inch 120 grit sanding band to be the most useful on most wood and metal objects. However, recently I have been using the band on myself and pets. In particular the sanding band are great when operating at medium speeds to trim my toe nails and calluses on the bottom of my feet. In addition, I can use the same equipment on trimming and shaping my dogs toe nails. They do not object to such toe trimmings versus the clippers that can often cut too deeply into their quick and cause bleeding. The animals are more relaxed and I think the bands do a better job in avoiding rips and tears to their nails. Using the variable speed rotary tool has expanded its usefulness and eliminated the need to buy a specialty tool to trim the nails of my dogs.

I've used these for Years, Only Buy the Dremel Brand Sanding Wheels... the knock-offs (other brands) don't work well & tend to slip off the wheel or fall apart, but the Dremel Wheels work for just about ANY material! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these a lot to trim my Golden Retriever 's nails. My dog is very sensitive to this procedure and it allows me to approach the task carefully as opposed the the clipper method. The clippers are too prone to quicking the actual pulp of the nail. The sanding band allow the easy shaping and de-burring the nail and prevent splitting the nail by catching on fabric or rugs, I use it with the flex cable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the sanding bands quite a lot. I'm learning to do more detailed shading and sanding with it. I keep a supply in my tool kit all the time for different woods, etc. I'm saving to get a fancier tool that has more variable speeds, etc.
