the sides at the bottom are curved to narrow with ridges on the edges - they need to be smoother for wider feet; if your foot is not in the exact grove and my heel is too wide it hurts. I will try to use again but I believe it is going to be a waste of money on my part. The one I was shipped says it is 24"

I was shocked when this shoe horn fractured into multiple pieces in my shoe with normal use. Bought December 2015, stored hanging, not in the sun. I was glad I had a thick sock and good skin integrity while I emptied out my shoe.... I tried to upload a picture, but the site says it's too large.. I would be very cautious if you have diabetes and can't afford a foot injury! I just have mobility issues.

this shoehorn states that it is metal but when i went to pick it up, it was cheap plastic. misleading description to list metal and provide an inferior plastic product
