works great and is so easy to insrall
It was comfortable and fit well over the elongated toilet seat.
Eventually, I was able to tighten the bolts sufficiently to prevent the unit from shifting easily. It has been about 3 weeks since it has shifted now. The instructions were less than clear, especially concerning where the washers should go. It was difficult to tighten the bolts enough to keep the riser from shifting in use. I expectthat a plastic lock washer would have helped.
Much better than the Easy Install model bought at store earlier. This opening is same as bowl, full size, but a little lower though. Your present toilet seat must use removable bolts to put on this unit. Ours had screw down built into hinges so had to find a new seat.
The construction was typically Chinese: not the best materials, not made with precision, and lacking in hardware to accomplish a snug, safe fit to the toilet. The bolts should be stainless steel, brass, or nylon. The steel bolts that are provided are bound to rust. The top surface of the riser is not flat, causing my toilet seat hinge to bind. So, I had to install three nylon washers around the bolts between the toilet seat and the riser to stop the hinge from binding. I could not turn the wing nuts to tighten the bolts. The wing nuts were so large that they hit my toilet bowl, which stopped them from turning. I had to replace the wing nuts with metric 10 x 1.5 hex nuts. Because it was a metric thread I had to go to the store to purchase them. Had they been SAE threads, Id have had the nuts at home on hand. The installation is not easy, nor quick. I spent most of a day making adapters to assure a non-sloppy attachment of the riser to the toilet. The holes in the riser are large slots, so inherently sloppy. I filled the slots with pieces of plastic electrical U-channel and wrapped the bolts with vinyl tubing. I also installed vinyl tubing inserts into my toilet to give a snug fit with the 10 mm bolts. I also added five small, thin non-slip stick-on pads to the front edge of the riser to keep it from sliding sideways on the surface of the toilet bowl rim.
