Duchess /Margot at the Wedding/Elizabethtown

This 3-Pack includes "Duchess", "Margot At The Wedding" and "Elizabethtown". "Duchess": Long before the concept existed, the Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana Spencer (Keira Knightley), was the original "It Girl." Like her direct ancestor Princess Diana, she was ravishing, glamorous and adored by an entire country. Determined to be a player in the wider affairs of the world, she proved that she could out-gamble, out-drink and outwit most of the aristocratic men who surrounded her. She helped usher in sweeping changes to England as a leader of the forward-thinking Whig Party. But even as her power and popularity grew, she was haunted by the fact that the only man in England she seemingly could not seduce was her very own husband, the Duke (Ralph Fiennes). And when she tried to find her own way to be true to her heart and loyal to her duty, the resulting controversies and convoluted liaisons pushed her to the brink of risking banishment by her husband, family and all of London society. "The Duchess" is the story of an extraordinary woman who rose to fame by staying true to her passions in a world of protocol, gossip and social rules - and paid the price. "Margot At The Wedding": From Academy Award(R)-nominated writer/director Noah Baumbach ("The Squid And The Whale") comes a daringly funny and bracingly honest exploration of the tender, absurd and sometimes excruciating relationship between siblings: "Played with an uncompromising fearlessness" by Academy Award(R) winner Nicole Kidman and Golden Globe(R) nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh, this nakedly honest film lays bare all aspects of the human comedy. Margot, a savagely bright, razor-tongued short story writer who creates chaos wherever she goes, sets off on a surprise journey to the wedding of her estranged and free-spirited sister Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Margot, with her son Claude (Zane Pais) in tow, arrives with the force of a hurricane. From the minute she meets Pauline's fiance - the unemployed artist Malcolm (Jack Black) - Margot starts to plant seeds of doubt about the union. What ensues is a "frequently brilliant, squirm-inducing funny" film. "Elizabethtown": Drew Baylor, (Orlando Bloom) once a rising star at a leading athletic shoe company, has just been fired due to the overwhelming failure of his design for a sneaker and the $972 million loss his company suffered because of the fiasco. As if that wasn't bad enough, things get even worse: Drew receives a phone call informing him that his father has passed away - and now, he must get on a plane for Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to retrieve his father's remains. On the plane ride, Drew meets Claire (Kirsten Dunst,) a flight attendant and unstoppably positive woman who changes the course of his life. It is in Kentucky that Drew comes to learn the breadth of his father's life and his own family roots. Drew, with the help of Claire, submits to discovering the possibilities for his own destiny. A love letter to the resilience of the life force, "Elizabethtown" is a charming, music - filled journey that proves amazing things can happen when you least expect them. "Duchess" and "Elizabethtown" are Rated PG-13; "Margot At The Wedding" is Rated R.
