These we're the only batteries I ever used for years. then about 8 years ago I purchased a battery charger for Energizer batteries. I must say I like the Duracell copper top better and have therefore returned to those. They last longer than the energizers do, snd I don't have to keep charging them. And the price of these reliable batteries with a long life suits my budget well.
Bought them about six years ago, and left them in my bedroom when I moved out for university. Thought they'd be fine because of the 10 year guarantee. Moved back recently and they have all leaked or broken. Don't pay the extra money for this brand, it's nothing special.
Using Duracell for over 30 years. Was in public safety so lives depended on batteries. During the past few years our devices have been damaged by leaking batteries and actually were still holding power. Flashlight batteries leak during short term storage, and electronics would still work, but the batteries leak. Something changes as this was never an issue years ago. Now it's almost a guarantee the batteries will leak. AAA are the worst with C right behind. 9 bolt seem to be the only ones that don't leak.
I live in tornado alley, so batteries are a life necessity, I check my batteries every Spring and I have had more stuff ruined by Duracell batteries than all other brands put together. I buy different manufactures because I am aware that their could be manufacturing defects in a particular lot, but Duracell is consistent in leaky batteries. Not to mention that every year I throw away Duracell batteries from storage that are 2-3 years short of their shelf life.
Ive been an avid fan of duracell till today Im going threw my emergency crates and checked over my 10 years guarantee batteries..ALL 5 packages of my AAA were toast, corroded and leaking, and 50+% of my AA 's were done for also.. they were maximum 7 years old. Very Disappointing.. I will be getting a hold of Duracell.
