This smoker is great . Drippings all flow into water pan . Easy clean up . Water pan does need refilling during cooking. Other than that it smokes brisket and pork butt better than any smoker I have ever owned.

Solid construction for the price, customer service was very helpful when the defective temp guage needed to be replaced

First for the bad: The water pan is awkward to put into the unit and to fill while smoking. Being black it is hard to see what the water level is while in the unit. The top flue was pre-assembled but the nuts and bolts were extremely loose and one of the bolts was loose in the packaging and the nut was missing. Three seem to work just fine and the seal is snug. For the good: This is an excellent smoker. Two doors make servicing the smoker during long smokes easy. Very little heat loss while reloading either the water pan or the smoker box. I smoked a picnic for 8 hours yesterday and it worked well. Easily controlled the heat and smoke levels. I do not like heavily smoked meat and this unit gives great control over that. I had a cheaper vertical smoker before and it was so bad that it took me a while to bother buying another. This is great deal, a lot of smoker for very little money. Overall very well designed and built. Highly recommend this unit.

It took longer to get here then expected. I think it might have on back order and did not ship for about one week. After I got shipping Email it was here the next day. The manual says it takes about 25 minutes to assemble. I takes that long to get it out of the box and all the parts unwrapped. Took me about 2 and a half hours to assemble by my self. It is well made and packaged. Started using it the next day, did two chickens, six chicken breasts and a rabbit. Could not believe the results. I'm looking forward to a lot more use of the smoker. I only used the temperature gauge that come with the unit for first go. I have bought a digital unit for future use. It has a wireless remote readout. Did find adjusting the vents and gas to get temperature right was a little tricky. Took about an hour before I was comfortable not monitoring it ever 10 minutes.
