Bought these 6 months ago and already stopped working… Dyson saying they can't find it in there system when I bought it. But, gave them the S%23 and receipt.
I was so excited to get this and it started out working great, After about a month I had to start cleaning the filter every time I needed to charge it. Now I need to clean the filters every 15 minutes of use and it won't pick up the cat litter tracked on the floor any longer. I know I can get replacement filters but I don't like how the two part filtration is all one piece.
Have only had 6 months and only use about once a week for basic household cleaning. In a smaller home with limited carpets but charge barely holds at this point — even at full charge. I could try to deal with that but now constantly says something is blocking airways. Can never find anything blocking and waste tons of time trying to resolve. Would not recommend.
I bought this vacuum as a gift for my mom because she can longer handle bulky and heavy vacuums. After two months and less than 12 uses, it stopped working completely. I went onto YouTube and determined it was a battery failure, even though it was fully charged. I contacted Dyson and tried to register via their text system, which they recommended. When you do this, they are supposed to confirm the registration within 5 days, They did not do this after 7 days after each attempted registration. So, do NOT use this method. It is useless. I did register by creating a new account, which worked. After 5 e-mail "chats", with a different customer service rep each time, it was determined that the battery needed to be replaced, which is what I originally deducted. They found the registration and confirmed that my warranty is good for two years. After all this, they sent me a note saying that the batteries are out of stock with no ETA. Ridiculous. There is obviously a quality control issue a Dyson for pretty much everything and these are not inexpensive devices. I'm also not happy that I had to register with Dyson as I will never buy anything from them again. So the result is that my mother has no vacuum after less tan 12 uses and I'm embarrassed that I bought her such a defective brand. BTW-the unit was cleaned after every use and the main filter had also been cleaned. I've seen other reviews on this website with the same exact thing happening in an identical time frame. I wish that I could rate this thing zero stars.
Suction is not strong The battery drops off easily while using. Dust container is small. The overall quality is poor and flimsy. I also have a v8, which performs much better. Hope we can return it- we bought it a couple of days bf a three weeks vacation. When we were back and used it more and found these issues. It has only 30 days return window.
