Eastsport Round 17.5" Backpack

Seems to be long lasting quality. Tight fit but fits laptop in back zipper (Toshiba Satellite - actual size 15"x9") and plenty of room for clothes, or whatever other items, in other pouches. Great find for the price.

Bought it for my son who immediately thought it had too many pockets. Good for him for not wanting to carry too much :) Turns out it's working great as a backpack for me going back to school.

This is the best backpack I've ever owned. So many compartments! AND it fits my laptop which measures 9.5" x 14.5". That is as big as it fits. I took it on a trip a few weeks ago and was wonderful. It Just holds so much without looking like it. And the price was terrific!

I would have given it a 5 star in value, but the thin barely-there covers for the zippers make this backpack not a great value. For the price, it is what it is, it's an inexpensive lightweight pack that can hold TONS of stuff. However, based on the brand and on the quality of every single other bit of it that I looked at, I expected the covers that are supposed to keep water out of the pack to actually WORK. I bought one of these (with the red trim that is not currently being sold online) for my 14yr old son. Thank GOD he never took his tablet with him, because it would have been ruined. The FIRST DAY it rained, he had to call me FROM SCHOOL because while HE was dry, everything in the pack got soaked at the bus stop (he had been protected with appropriate rain gear and had wanted to walk and not have me drive him). He wouldn't have had to call me except it was the first day of the week so his gym clothes were inside and I had to drive up and take him a new set because the others were dripping wet. This year, I have stalked LLbean's website. They do really rare sales, but when they do, I can get a pack this exact size that is waterproof and has a lifetime guarantee. His sister got one last year but they had already run out of non-girly prints. I just expect more from eastsport. When I was his age, the one I got in 7th grade that lasted me through high school and college was eastsport.

Great overall bag for the price.
