This toy is good for children to pass the time. The quality is great as all the pieces were made to be durable. it comes with two kinds of toy drills, bits, a wrench and a multitude of pieces which vary from screws, to bolts that shaped in all sorts of ways. There is a board which holes played out in a grid in which the screws, nuts, and bolts can be place. The container is great because it is large and once it is opened there are a couple of compartments which serve as a storage space or "work" bench. It is very easy and straight forward for children to use it as a result i don't believe it challenges or encourages the child to be very creative or imaginative due to the only use of the drills being on the grid "workbench" which is also in the tool box. Despite that, the design is great and attractive to the eye (bright blue colored box which varying color tools and pieces). In addition, the pieces are big so you're siblings are safe from mistakenly eating it and once everyone is done playing the pieces can be placed back into the compartment and closed leaving no mess.

My brother is a mechanic, so I thought this would be great for his kids. Score one for Auntie! He loves it as much as his three daughters do. The youngest, just shy of two years old, mainly just wants to put things in her mouth, so she doesn't enjoy it as much as the others, but the five year old and the eight year old love the bright colors, easy to handle pieces, and getting to play tools with Daddy. And, my little brother likes being able to play something with his daughters that doesn't involve dolls or makeup. It's a lot of fun to watch them develop skills in an area ignored for most little girls. There's more to being a girl than dolls and tea parties! As a neatnik, I loved the idea of a contained storage unit with a place for everything. Unfortunately, the case design is somewhat flawed. All of the screws don't fit in the bin for those, plus the tools fit too well into their slots. It's difficult to impossible for the girls to get them out by themselves. The toys themselves are great, but the storage case could use a redesign. He solved the problem by storing them in a separate box though.

I now have two Design and Drill Power Tool sets, the Workshop, and the Activity Center. I must say that they are both wonderful toys for children 3 years of age and over. The Educational Insights Design and Drill Power Toll Workshop comes with a power drill, and a power screwdriver, with two bits, a wrench, bolts and bolts with a design, that are perfect for little hands to maneuver, in bright colors of red, blue, orange and green. There is a case that has a place for all the tools and bolts, so the child can clean up when they are finished playing. It is great for travel, because there is a handle, so the child can carry it around. They can use their imagination and drill the bolts to make their own design, or they can follow directions from the book that has many designs. When they follow the book design, it will help them with following directions, their colors, and counting. There is a plastic peg board with holes, where the child drills, or screws in the bolts to make the design. They have to count over to where to place the first bolt, then follow the directions on which color, and which bolt to use. They then count to see how many bolts of which color that will be needed for the design. The drill requires 3 AA batteries, that are not included, so make sure if you don't have them at home, to buy some. The drill and screwdriver worked very well, and was easy to handle. This is great fun for children, and also adults. I have to admit, we played with it too. I highly recommend it.

This Educational Insights design and power tool workshop is design for ages 3 and up. It comes with different kinds of tools that look like the tools using in everyday life like Flat tip bit, Philips bit and socket bit. Parent's demonstrations and guidance needed for proper used of these tools to play. There are 4 tools, two tools needed with 3 A A battery each to operate, the battery compartment are sealed with screws with soft touch button and handy easy grip tools. The Power Drill and jumbo Power screwdriver are designed to be used with interchangeable bits. The other 2 tools are manual tools 1 open and closed wrench at both ends and 1 small short tools screwdriver allow kids to play manually. It comes with one attaché case like, for portable carrying (weighing about 10lbs) that can bring anywhere else comfortable for playing, with removable pattern board inside. The pattern boards have 100 holes to play to and comes with different kind of pattern/shape to follow included in the manual. Tools and bolts invite children to explore shape, colors and counting as they built fine motor skills. My kids love to play and explore this toy its entertaining and I definitely recommend this to a friend.

This toy made a little 4 year old boy very happy since he loves tools and cars! This toy has so many bolts and screws to play with the drill and wrenches that keeps a little busy for long periods. My favorite is the case which you can carry and place everything in it. The drills and wrenches were a good size to hold onto and about real size. The colors were nice to make patterns on the drill board and instructions were easy to follow for an adult of course and help out with following instructions with the kids. The nuts and bolts went on and off easy and you can remove the panel to store your stuff inside the case. Drills easy to play with and easy to operate even for a 4 year old. All items seem to be made of durable plastic and case is heavy duty to be able to stand some dropping on hard surfaces. Closing and opening of the case was easy and handle big and firm enough. Overall we were happy with the quality of this toy and the many parts for endless hours of fun for kids.
