Elefun Board Game

This game may be fun when it works, but most of the time it doesn't work. The fan inside the game is not nearly powerful enough to propel the butterflies out of the trunk and changing to fresh batteries does not make a difference. We had to cut inches off the elephant trunk in order for the butterflies to make their way out of the trunk and even then we only see about half the butterflies each time we turn it on. It's awful when you can hear the butterflies whirling around in the bottom of the trunk and watching the kids anticipating them to fly out...and they never do.

this is a great idea that doesnt work as is. i modified mine to be less of a pain in the rear! i hooked an ac adapter to it, instead of buying new every 5 minutes. i hooked a little stronger one to it so it blows the butterflies way higher in the air. also i shortened the trunk so they spread out more instead of 1 big clump that has trouble getting up and out! i also added packing peanuts in with the butterflies that come out at a different speed. i agree with other reviews that say, turn it on, spits out the butterflies in about 2 seconds and thats it. modify it and it goes from horrible to just average, the kids do like it, but it will drive you crazy!

This toy is a piece of junk. you have to sit there for several minutes before maybe 2 or 3 butterflies will come out. It does NOT work @ all the way that it looks like on the box. I think that the little motor in the toy is not powerful enough to blow the butterflies out. If it had a stronger motor and worked correctly it would be alot of fun. My kids were very disappointed.

I am a teenager who has recently made his first online purchase, which was from Walmart.com. After my research online I found that reviews were the best way to find out information about the products. My mother thought of a fun toy to buy my 3 year old sister and her mind stumbled across a commercial that she saw for elefun. I decided to help her out by looking up reviews online and were saddened by the fact that i saw nothing but bad reviews. Once coming across FilipinaMe's review for elefun and his "improvising" the toy, sparked with a hope of having the toy worked, I approved the buy for my mother with the information of how to make elefun work. We got home and i could see what all the bad reviews were talking about. Just like they all say, the motor isn't strong enough. It takes a long while for them to all come out and to top it off, there aren't a lot of them to begin with. After a few minutes of clipping, we had a whole elefun full of 2 inch long by (about) 1/2 inch wide pieces of tissue paper that we had twisted in the middle to make look like the butterflies that came with elefun. Once we turn on the elefun, we had a mixture (because we made different colors) of colors and speeds of fluttering butterflies. My little sister was simply entranced by the sight and made it her aim to catch them all. As FilipinaMe stated, if your willing to take a few extra minutes, this can truely be a good product. Yes, sometimes the tissue paper butterflies fly out in clumps but once they leave the trunk they all flutter on their own like if you were surrounded by a flock of real butterflies. Just pay an extra dollar or two at the dollar store to buy some colored tissue paper and this will be an amazing product.

The butterflies are made of paper and are very small. The game is terrible and is not worth the money.
