I have purchased this brush more than once but most recently ordered it online a few months ago. I was comparing a few similar brushes and was looking at name brands to take note of which was my favorite and decided to come write this review upon noticing it was the e.l.f. sculpting brush I reach for most. I don't "contour" in the way many now use the term; as in sculpting lines with multiple products to alter my face shape but I do use foundation, powders blush and highlighter on a daily basis on specific areas of my face. I hope that makes sense. Regardless, this brush has a nice handle to offset the densely packed fibers on the application end; plus it is cruelty free! My favorite method for using this brush is to lightly spray a bit of water or setting spray on it then I add liquid or cream foundation / base / tinted moisturizer directly on my skin and use this brush to begin spreading the product on my entire face. I use a stippling motion combined with short strokes. This method doesn't leave a flawless finish but it sets up an even area of coverage that I can then "finish" by using one or more of my e.l.f. blending sponges. Another more obvious way to utilize this brush is for applying bronzer or blush; making sure to use the technique most appropriate for the desire look. For example, on someone with youthful skin who isn't concerned with any "hallow" looks I would follow the cheek bones. I am over 35 and want more fullness in my face so if wearing bronzer I apply it above the underside of the cheek bone in order to offset creating a "hallowed" appearance. Additionally you can use the brush for the darker product after applying base without having to clean in between. I do firmly believe in washing all of my brushes once a week at the least but I also have back up brushes in case I didn't have time.

I was searching for an affordable brush like this everywhere. Most brushes like this are so expensive. Got two of these and I'm seriously in love. Packs on a lot of color for a nice contour. Quality is great for the price, you can't beat it. So far my favorite brush from elf.

I received this in my Play Beautifully Elf subscription box earlier this month in the color Michael. I was in love the moment I applied it, it's creamy and full of color that makes your lips pop. Isn't Sticky at all and that's my fave about it. I'm definitely buying other shades or maybe their whole collection as soon as they restock the colors I really want! Thanks elf for making wonderful products that we fall in love with.

I love e.l.f. products, and when I received this item (Michael) in a play beautifully box, I was so excited to try it. The color and feel were lovely. However, couple hours later after I'd eaten, I wanted to reapply, but the applicator broke on in the tube. Given the small opening of the tube, there's no way to "fish" it out, nor can I put any other "tool" in there to get to the color. I was disappointed to only get to use it once. :(

i'm normally a huge e.l.f. fan (i'd say half of my makeup comes from e.l.f. alone!) and was looking for some new glosses, so i ordered four of these with my latest order and i have to say, without a doubt, that these are the worst product i've ever gotten from this brand. of the four, two of the applicators broke off inside the container, so i couldn't even get any product out (which is a shame, because those were for the two best colors). the other two applicators are an awkward spongy shape, and the consistency of the gloss seems very cheap, unlike a lot of the other glosses i've gotten from e.l.f. that have been nice and smooth and rich. the colors, i find, are also a lot different than shown on the website, which i know to be true for e.l.f. so that's not as big of a deal, but it definitely didn't help matters. overall just really disappointed. i'd stick to the other glosses in the basic line, those are amazing quality and have wowed me every time. these, not so much.
