I bought this a week a go because the blush I was using wasn't pigmented enough and I heard a lot of good reviews. The colour pay off is very good and blends perfectly and its super cheap!! It last all day and you can also use it as a lip tint which is a plus!!
I just got this blush in the mail yesterday and I didn't think it was going to be this small, but man is it pigmented! I've read previous comments about how it dispensed way too much for 1 squirt or the pump wouldn't work or way to pigmented. Well I'm going to answer this all real simple and easy. I got the superstar and I personally think it would be great for any skin tone I am pretty pale but you can build it up easily. The pump didn't work at first (what I was expecting from comments that I've read) but I shook it and hit it against my palm in every which way and just can't pumping it and it worked! It might just be a little dry at first. It did have a lot of product come out but you just have to be easy with using the pump to get just a little tiny dot of product out. It will defiantly last a loooong time I'm so happy! It isn't sparkly so I like that, i haven't really seen how long it can be worn yet but I don't might that too much if it only lasts a a couple hours. I honestly think this is amazing! Definitely small, but very mighty!!
This stuff is so highly pigmented that I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I just can't because of the amount that's wasted due to its packaging. Too bad there isn't a way to pump out less from the bottle. Honestly, I use about 10% of a single pump, if that. Currently, I have Diva and Encore, and plan to buy Headliner next. Normally those colors would be too intense for me, but I've found that topping the blush with the Highlights facial whip and blending really well lightens the HD blush and gives it a uniquely beautiful color and appearance. I thought the facial whip shimmer would be too much, but it's pretty much masked by the strong pigmentation of the blush. However, it does give it an overall pretty glow, which is more than I was hoping for, honestly. Here's how I apply it, just to make sure I don't overdo it: pump some onto the top of my hand, and swirl it with a brush I don't intend to use for my face (at least not until I clean the brush again). Then I take a blush brush (or a contour brush can be perfect too) ,and ever so lightly swirl it into the blush mixture. At this point, I pat the brush onto another part of my hand, in order to take off even more. After applying it to the apples of my cheeks and working my way back carefully, I use the facial whip. I'm super careful about brushing or stippling it onto my cheeks because it is waayyy too easy to overdo it both in applying too much color and applying too much blush on my face. Usually with powder blush, it's so easy to stay right on the cheekbones that even a child could do it, but with this blush it just tends to want to take up too much space on my face. That's a major no-no, because then you have to start all over with taking it off and reapplying primer, foundation, powder, etc. Some people might think this isn't even worth the hassle, but I love this blush once I got the hang of it. Oh yeah, it's really great for those in the entertainment industry too. If you are an actress, singer, dancer, etc. on stage, definitely give this a try. It's sweat proof (once it's set) and the pigmentation will be perfect for the lights and distance of the crowds.
I bought this after hearing amazing reviews. I don't usually wear blush. I have very pale skin and I find it difficult to find blushes that give me that desired "healthy glow" without making me look like a clown. I find most blushes are either too dark or too light/shimmery like a highlighter. Also, I just don't like spending money on something that will go to waste, so I was VERY hesitant to buy this. I chose the shade Headliner as everyone raves about it and says it's the best colour for fairer skinned individuals. The first thing I thought was the bottle is so tiny- cute, sleek, chic, but tiny. Upon application, I realized why that's not such a bad thing- this is SUPER pigmented. Like, crazy, ridiculously pigmented. I press the pump down about half way and the back of my hand looks burnt. So a light hand, and a good brush, is required. This bottle will last me a long, long time. The consistency is thick yet a bit creamy and the finish goes to more of a powder. It does not dry tacky or anything. It feels great on the skin, and if you are gentle with the amount you apply it looks great! It's better to put on too little at first than too much. It is harder to work with than a powder blush- it takes some learning, but it is worth it. I see a lot of people saying they have pale skin and all of these blushes are too dark. I am very pale. It is so easy to pick concealer and foundation shades for myself, because typically it's the lightest one (Ivory). The first time I applied this, it was too much- I looked flushed. So the next time, I used a quarter-half a pump on the back of my hand, swirled my brush in it, dabbed it on the back of my hand a bit, and then I applied carefully. Results were great! I adore this. I wear it everyday. It lasts pretty much all day, the colour is perfect for me. I'm just so happy. The only con is that it takes a bit of practice (I have barely used blush, let alone liquid blush so), but the pros really make it worth the effort. I have also used this on my lips as a stain, and it is gorgeous. I haven't tested it thoroughly, so I can't speak for wear or anything but the colour looks beautiful on the lips.
I was so incredibly excited to get these (I ordered 4 out of the 5 colours) but I quickly regretted this purchase. The product is FAR TOO PIGMENTED. Usually I complain about things not being pigmented enough, but these are just RIDICULOUS. I think they might be good as a lip stain, though I haven't tried putting it on my lips. I tried putting a teensy tiny dot on my finger then blending onto my cheek only to find that it DOESN'T BLEND PROPERLY. There is a huge, ugly stain where my finger first made contact with my cheek and it is SO HARD to blend it out with my fingers. Then it stains your fingers and won't come out until you wash your hands with makeup remover, which for me is a waste of makeup remover. It is EVEN HARDER trying to apply this product with a brush. In fact, it pretty much ruined my brush by making all its bristles stick together. To cap it all off, the pump on this product doesn't work half the time, so you'll end up pumping it vigorously twenty times until a huge gush of product shoots out and makes a huge mess everywhere.
