e.l.f. Mineral Pearls, Skin Balancing

I purchased the skin balancing pearls. As they come they don't put out much powder at all. Maybe I just use too much powder, I don't know. To fix that I probably did a terrible thing and crushed the pearls about half down. The powder itself does balance my skin tone, and does not irritate my skin in anyway. However, it is extremely messy this way, which I'll admit is not as intended and the lid is extremely loose so I don't even keep it with my other makeup. If it looks fun to you, might be worth trying, but I can't really recommend it.

I bought the skin balancing pearls, as I am very fair skinned and read those would be better for me than the natural ones. Had high hopes, but -- first tried to use the included puff and got very little product to pick up. What I did end up with were patches of green and pink and blue that wouldn't blend. Then I tried a kabuki brush, but the pearls are so hard, still barely anything would pick up. What I did get on the brush was also unimpressive. Oh well. This one is a miss for me.

I wanted to love this more. It does have microscopic sparkles. After applying this, I always spot at least one sparkle on my forehead and another one somewhere else. I wanted this to replace my NARS translucent setting powder. But this is just not the same quality therefore not worth it in the long run. The finish is nice but not enough to make me want to buy this again. Especially because of the sparkles (there are very few but they are in there). Although I find that it subtly color corrects, I don't find that the effect of this powder is maintained for long. I also do not find it as moisturizing as described. It's an OK powder. Could have been better.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and I love it! I bought the natural and I am fair skinned. I put it all over my face with a brush to give me a glow on the days I don't wear foundation. When I want a little more color, I just put a little blush on my cheekbones right over it.

I tried this powder and I didn't see any glow or anything different that would set it apart from the E.L.F. HD Poweder that I currently use. Perhaps it's because I have a darker skin tone. E.L.F doesn't really cater to darker skin tones so maybe I shouldn't be surprised this product didn't do much for me.
