e.l.f. Smudge Pot, Brownie Points, 0.19 oz

I got a few of these smudge pots a while ago (I've been collecting a few different colors over time) and I absolutely love them. They are perfectly pigmented for if you just want to swipe some color on your lid and go. I've even seen instagram posts of people using them for fancy eye looks, but I have yet to try something like that. Just wish there were more colors!!

i had it for a few weeks and first used it today and had to wipe it off minutes later. It irritated my right eye lid very very badly. after removing it i noticed my eye lid was puffy and very red almost felt like it was burned. i read another review simular to this so i guess it isnt a first time happening.

I recently discovered how much fun this product is. I use a "Smudge Brush" in order to apply the color. I found it works the best, as well as an angle brush for gently applying under the eye to give liner definition. I generally mix two complimenting colors for a smokey eye effect. Then, just as a stipple to help with blending, I always brush over all my eye makeup with a plain white eyeshadow. It lightens darker areas and defines the blend to make it look really silky. After applying it always gives off a little bit of a reflective and scaly sheen which I find really pretty. It feels like I'm dusting my eyes with gold. It is really hard to remove. I use several makeup removing towelettes as well as a washcloth with soap and it still doesn't feel like it's 100% removed. Which is nice when I think about it because then I know it doesn't wear off during long work days, but I also don't like the linger into the next day if I decide not to do my makeup.

I own 9 of the 11 shades of this eyeshadow and I love every single one. The texture is creamy and applies very easily with a brush (or your fingers). The color lasts all day and generally doesn't crease for me when I use the elf eyelid primer. These eyeshadows blend really well (I generally use them with the elf baked eyeshadows) My favorite color is Cruisin Chic - it's a versatile color that works well for daytime looks and nights out. My only complaint is with the Aint That Sweet shadow that, for some reason, is a LOT creamier than the other shadows in this collection and tends to crease/slide. This isn't usually a problem because I'll just use less of the product so it stays put. I would love to see elf come out with a metallic green/gold color for this line and maybe to test out some matte shades. Overall I love it.

I bought this eye shadow in Brownie Points and it looks beautiful until you actually put it on. I used my fingertip to smudge it on and it looks nice and pigmented and sparkly but once you have it on your eyelids it's very bland and not shimmery at all!
