I was really excited to try out this product because I enjoy a lot of elf's products. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the eyeshadow's texture. I expected something a little bit more creamy and smooth. It said in the description that the eyeshadow had a whipped gel texture, but mine was dry out and when I tried to swatch the product, there was no pigmentation pay off and chunky glitters came off. The colors were really pretty, but I just wish the texture was a little better even if the price tag for this product is low.
This is like a spongy powder. I tried to apply it with my fingers and with a brush. Neither worked. It was so patchy and chunky, plus it wouldn't hold to my skin, even with an eye primer. I tried several times and finally threw it away. I usually give makeup I don't care for to a friend, but this stuff was awful.
Buy this. In every color. I love Confetti. I put it all over my lid to crease and then put a warm tone brown in the crease over it. It has a way of working as a base of my eye shadows to last alll day at work. My go to, to brighten and open my eyes. Does have a bit of fall out . Use your fingers for best results.
I bought the white one because I thought it'd be a great inner corner highlight and it is! Even for actual highlight but it takes some time to blend it out. The eyeshadow is kinda chunky but I think mixing it with a brush might make it a bit smoother.
This review is for the shade Toast. It's a sparkly light yellow metallic gold. It applies somewhat sheer, but builds up easily. The texture is thick and somewhat creamy. I like that it sparkles, but it isn't over-the-top. It doesn't have big chunks of glitter. I find it works best to use a flat, synthetic brush or a sponge-tip applicator to apply. Fingers work pretty well, too. I have oily eyelids, so I use primer. I still get creasing with this, but that's typical for me and cream shadows. I do have good luck just applying this to my mobile eyelid or inner corner for a little sparkle. The cream formula doesn't transfer and there is no fallout. It lasted all day, which is really good for my oily lids.
