Slightly disappointed. I thought the 15" diameter would have been interior dimension. Instead it's outside rim to rim. The height is true. Also thought the metal would have been stronger. So it's more decorative that can only burn sticks. Pretty.
OMG OMG It's beautiful and I love it, once I had it put together. It is small but the perfect size and is exactly what I was looking for. It can be put together by one person but honestly was a chore. There were two things that made ""no sense"" to me and that was the placement of two screws. One is placed (as you are facing the front with the door) right under the door by the hinge (left side). The second screw is placed under the door on the right side (the opening) at the edge. Both screws, especially the right screw impinge the door closing properly so it does not latch smoothly and you have to push it to latch it. IMO, bad design. Still those two small annoyances are nowhere enough to make me stop loving this and I STILL highly recommend this. I know I will have many really nice fire lit dinners with this Chiminea before we move to the fire pit!
To put this together is a guessing game. On the instructions that accompany it there is a crude drawing with arrows that show how it is to be assembled. The problem is that there are four different kinds of screws, washers and bolts, all equal in number. From the unclear drawing, it is impossible to know which size goes into which part.
The fire pit arrived quickly at the local store. Surprisingly small box. When I opened it I realized that it was a much smaller unit than I expected. Easy to assemble, but don't expect to burn more than small twigs and branches in this.
This is WAY TOO SMALL for the cost! I wouldn't recommend this unless you're looking for a very small chimenea!
