This product works very well on the fine hairs on my cheeks, chin, and upper lip. Could see a difference after using it the first time. A little painful but better than waxing and no redness afterward. Good value for the price.

This unit seems to grab the fine hairs really well, but not so good on the courser ones. I use it for a minute or so, then when I feel that it's done all it is going to do, I get the trusty tweezers out and finish the job. I probably cut the maintenance time in half this way now. I'd recommend it to try. Each person is individual and what works great for one person, may not work at all for the next. It does use 2-AA batteries, but I'm still on the first set and it's still going strong after about 3 weeks. You only use it for a minute or so if it's for the face. If you want to do underarms, it would take a bit longer. I would not recommend for the legs. Buy a corded version to do legs with. The power is much stronger on corded units.

It's very loud. The discomfort in minimal whe you consider tweezing one hair at a time or waxing your flesh away. I've never owned an epilator and I would say that this is a great first one to see if it's for you. I like to use it fresh out of the shower, it's painless. When I just use alcohol, it's more uncomfortable. Through this product I've concluded that the epilator is my preferred method of hair removal and I'm excited to find out what I can get if I splurge a little. I use this on my face only. I do find that I have to use this multiple times a week, but that's mostly because hair grows in cycles at different parts.

I got this because of the reviews. Not sure if it is because i am african american and we have different type of hair than others. it did not take any hair off my lip or chin.

I use this for my face. I have really sensitive skin and waxing or creams just burn my skin. I also have PCOS and facial hair grow fast. This is easy, barely hurts and works fast. No red skin and not spending money every week. I'm happy. I try using it under arms and works but think would be better a corded one and maybe a little bigger. I love so far the epilator.
