love the looks and ease using this

We live in southern Florida with the hot hot sun. We needed to protect our garden hose and this is a very attractive way to do it. We get lots of compliments from our neighbors, looks like yard art.

Hinge: Could be better, but it's not too difficult to reattach. Would work fine without also, just lift and remove. Use: Not the easiest to wind inside, but doable. He winds inside. I wind it outside, then place in the base. I like it perfect. :) Materials: A little apprehensive, with repetative hot/cold seasons, plastic becomes brittle. Thinking of coating with clear UV epoxy for durability, fading and added weight protections. Looks: In love! Way better looking in the front than the out of place looking box types or the hanging ones. Super cute surrounded by the ground cover! Overall: Very happy.

As the other reviews said, the top hinge is awful. It comes apart every time it is opened. I would have returned it but my mother wanted to keep it because she liked the frog.

I should have read more carefully. It was bigger than I wanted for the space but so much fun that I kept it anyway. My grandson enjoys climbing on it and it does the job of hiding my hose.
