Ensure® Plus Strawberry Oral Supplement, 8-ounce bottle

I love the taste of this product, although I've had OTC Ensure, the one I've been drinking since a few days ago is the therapeutic nutrition variety. I'm a fan of both, Especially since the therapeutic nutrition one has 3 grams of fiber. My mom brought it home from a retirement facility that needed to get rid of it, as it was to expire in a month.

I buy at least TWO BOXES a week, can't go a day without at least four bottles. It has gotten me through the years from diagnoses of hereditary liver disease(2008), liver transplant(2017) and everyday since. Cannot go a day without my CHOCOLATE ENSURE PLUS!!!!!!!!! I have tried other brands....they do not compare with the richness of ENSURE. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My four wisdom teeth were pulled last week, and I have to adapt my diet to allow my mouth to recover from surgery. I was looking for something nutrient-dense to give my body what it needs to repair itself. I also wanted something that either limited or eliminated the need to chew so as not to disturb my clots. This product is easy consume (no chewing), and keeps me full! The milk chocolate flavor tastes good as well. I highly recommend this product if you're recovering from oral surgery.

I find all of the brands of 'nutrition shakes' to be too sweet: But Ensure Plus is sweetened with Real Sugar. Other types of Ensure, and all of the other brands use the nasty tasting Sucralose, Stevia (Rebaudioside), etc., and that is why I use Ensure Plus. I had to switch from Ensure Original when they advertised, '...now less sugar'. I thought 'Great!; now maybe it won't be so sweet!' But it was still too sweet, but no longer tasted good.

I just bought this product a few day's ago mainly because I find it hard to get to a healthy weight which I have never gotten to in my life. When I first had a sip I thought it tasted good and I plan to keep trying it, but once I finished the bottle I started feeling nauseous and after a while I threw up. I heard the recipe changed and maybe that would be it or it was from it being so thick. I don't know. I plan to mix it will milk and see if it makes it lighter and if I can then hold it down. I hope that it works because I love the taste and I personally think that it is a great product. I would recommend trying out just a little bit at a time before committing to buying a ton. It is a product where it works for you or it doesn't and I hope it works for me.
