This XP-6100 was working fine until I did the Recommended Maintenance. After that Recommendation, I have had a series of issues. Currently, after following the on line maintenance "suggestions" I have replaced more than 5 ink cartages, which were NOT low, and having replaced the Photo Black three times, today, it is still giving crap results - and Certainly not photographic quality. It was fine for the warranty period. Now that it has expired, NO JOY! Don't buy it.
It does very nice photos. However, the plastic trays and lid look like they would break very easy. So have to be careful when you use it.
I replaced my 7 year old Epson with this one and it's surprised me. Great print quality, easy operation and fits better than the old model.
There are many functions. We use print and scan mostly. It is perfect. Epson got rid of similar ink by a software block. We are using Epson ink, paying more. We don't use much so it passes.
I bought this printer a month ago as a replacement office printer. It has been great. Not only did it setup quickly but I was impressed with the photo quality it produces. I almost didn't buy it from some of the reviews I read, but you have to wonder about the experiences some people have. The printer works great, the features are a terrific time saver, and the quality is excellent. The double-sided printing is useful as I print many instruction sheets on demand. I did have to relearn some things, like handling mail labels. I am glad I purchased this model!
