Equate Beauty Cucumber, Aloe, & Green Tea Wet Cleansing Towelettes, 60 Count

I have been looking for a new makeup remover. I have used exfoliating products before so this seemed like something that would work. The first time I used the towelette it felt extremely rough and dry but I thought maybe it was something that took time to get used to. After a couple of weeks of using this product, my initial impression was right on target. The towelettes are dry and feel like sandpaper on my skin. I actually think sandpaper would be softer! I normally prefer Equate products, except for this one. Don't waste your money.

Prior to using Equate, I have tried more expensive makeup remover towelettes and also cheaper versions of Walgreens brand which I can't recommend at all. The Walgreens brand suppose to smell like grapefruit, yet it smelled like toilet bowl cleaner. Imagine wiping your face every night and smelling like a clean toilet bowl. I decided to try Equate and purchased this product in store. First of all, the price is budget friendly and the box is very convenient and easy to store in your bathroom drawer, for those who do not like cluttered countertops (like myself). Each towelette has a flat surface and a "grainy" surface that feels like a gently face scrub. I always use the "grainy" side first to deep scrub all the pores and then I use the smooth/ flat surface to finish up. It leaves your skin clean and fresh without any oily or smelly residue. My skin type: fair, from German decent. I do not suffer from acne but have occasional pimple outbreaks. Over all: I would definitely recommend this product and will buy again myself!

Love the formulation and the bit of texture that allows for a mild exfoliation. For the life of me, I can't figure out why the stores near me will not carry these routinely. Yes, I can order online, but my fear is that they will be discontinued if the stores don't stock them as well. And, can anyone tell me why the 60 towels in the reusable box is so much cheaper to buy (in duplicate), than the double refill packet? Makes no sense.

This product does work it will take off your makeup but not easily. It takes a few rubs which is kind of painful since there are dots on the towelletts. The dots hurt and irritate my skin after a while. I'll probably wait till they run out till I try a new one but I won't buy them again.
