ok so at first I tried the name brand aka cetaphil and I loved it so I decided shouldn't spend like 10 bucks on a cleanser when the equate brand makes one exactly the same but wayyy cheaper so I tried this and they work the same. Also because I live kinda far from walmart I also use renewal the rite aid brand of the cetaphil cleaser both of these products work the same

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. I use this nightly with my Clarisonic MIA with delicate brush head and it removes all my makeup, even eye makeup without any stinging. (note: I don't use the brush on my eyes. I just massage the cleanser on my eyes and it removes my eye shadow and mascara wonderfully) Leaves my face feeling clean and soft.

This product is absolutely amazing. I have had acne since I was 13 and I tried EVERYTHING out there for it. I wasted so much money on name brand products that just made my face worse. Every morning I wake up and gently put this on my face and then I rinse my face with cold water and hop in the shower. After I get out I put some Equate Deep Cleaning Astringent for sensitive skin which has salicylic acid in it on a cotton ball and just put it all over my face. After that has dried, I use the Acne Free Severe Terminator 10 which has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide in it and I let that dry. After that, I use the Cetaphil Moisturizing cream for dry, sensitive skin and that is it! I do this every morning and every night (minus moisturizing cream at night) and my face has cleared up sooooo much! At first, I started doing this routine and I broke out but after I kept going through with it, it really worked. I will get a pimple here and there due to feminine reasons but other than that I don't! My family has been complementing my skin so much lately and it just feels great to have healthy and clear skin. Please try this if you were in my situation!

My doctor recommended Cetaphil, but I didn't want to pay the hefty price for it, so I opted for this. I used the dry method, and I will warn others that it doesn't feel comfortable at first just wiping it off. Your skin will feel filmy, because it leaves a layer of the cleanser in your pores. It's supposed to do that! After about 10-20 minutes though, it dries and your face will feel lighter and less grimey and so so soft. I've never had such soft skin! A lot of skin types don't need pore cleansing like the commercials say. I know when I do the deep cleaning on my face, it gets more oily, more pimples, and a LOT dryer (somehow). Flakey skin mixed with oily skin isn't pretty. This stuff solved all my problems, and I don't have to make a watery mess on my counters. There is a water rinse option for those whom prefer, but I wouldn't recommend it for skin like mine. :)

I have been struggling with dry sensitive skin all my life. This product has been a life saver. I've read some other reviews that say it's too watery, I understand what they're saying, but it really doesn't affect the product, for my skin type anyway. If you have very oily sensitive skin, you may want to try the actual Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. As for me (super dry/flaky, super sensitive skin) this cleanser really works for me. I simply splash some water on my face, put a little bit in my hand (about the size of a quarter) and rub into my face for about a minute. Then I lightly scrub my face with face sponge to exfoliate dead skin, otherwise I get flaky. I use the Wal-Mart brand egg shaped facial sponge, cost $1. I then use eucerin (generic brand) skin creme. Since following this routine, I haven't experienced the extremely dry flakiness I used to deal with on a daily basis.
