I won't be buying this brand again. Leaves a film on your lenses after soaking. Doesn't feel like my lenses are as clean as another brand I've tried. First of all, it wants you to rinse each lens for 5 seconds with the peroxide solution..which I think is such a waste of product and I don't see any difference that it makes, but I do it anyways. Instructions specifically say "7. After a period of at least 6 hours your lenses may be removed from the Len's case and worn" but after they're done soaking for 6 hours, they are left with a film that you then have to waste more of your own product to clean them before wearing. that film is there wether or not you rinse them for 5 seconds before soaking. I first tried this type of thing from DG, their brand, and it worked incredible. the instructions were easier, literally all you had to do was put your contacts in the chamber, fill up the contianer with solution, and put them in. You didn't have to rinse them before or after. well DG has been out of them for months so I decided to try Walmarts brand. guess I will try name brand until I can get DG's again.
I asked my Dr if this brand was good for my contacts. She said they were just as good as the name brand and were what she recommended for cleaning the contacts as long as you throw away the vial that comes with it and use the new one that comes in the new box. These clean my contacts, there is no residue and I feel safe using this product. It also saves money!
Want to advise, this lens solution isn;t an exact copy of the the original. I just bought it because Walmart was out of Clear Care. The lenses still burn after a whole night of soaking, you must wash it well with a rinsing solution. And even after that , it still stings a bit. Would love to get credit, I threw out the box already, I can't use it, nor return it.
The solution works just fine but the case that comes with this is garbage. Every single morning I fight with it trying to get my contact out of the case. My lenses stick to the inside of the flaps and don't want to come out. I'm afraid I'm going to rip my lenses trying to get them out. I'm switching back to brand!
I'm allergic to something that's in typical contact solution, so I've been using this type of solution for many years. I started purchasing the Equate brand a few years ago when I could only find the Hydraglide type of CC. They appeared to be the same product and the quality was the same. Equate is nearly half of the price, so it was an easy choice for me. Equate changed the lens holder and it is subpar. They made this change quite some time ago. It is difficult to get your contacts out of the container and it ends up damaging them. Luckily, I had stocked up on the old containers. I recently noticed another change and it's worrisome. I've been using this type of solution for many years, so I know how long your contacts need to remain in the solution before it neutralizes. Despite leaving my contacts in for longer than the necessary time, the solution isn't processing correctly. After putting my contacts in and experiencing intense burning a few times, I realized what was happening. I now have to rinse my contacts and rub them, before I can put them in. It defeats the entire purpose. They aren't sterile at that point and rubbing them can cause damage. I don't know what they've changed, but it's a serious problem.
