There's nothing better than a freshly ground cup of coffee in the morning. The ethical bean blend is nice and smooth and I like having the option for a variety of unique flavors. This review was collected as part of a promotion and the opinions are my own.

I bought this bag of coffee because I like what the company stands for. I wanted to love it. It smelled wonderful opening the bag and grinding the beans, but once I made it I was really disappointed. I always thought of Espresso as a stronger tasting coffee. I know this is labeled a medium dark roast, but it was more a very light roast coffee. I love strong coffee so this is not for me. I will say that when drinking it, it was very smooth with no bitterness at all. Next time it will be a very dark roast for me.

My husband and I are in love with this coffee - it is so incredibly good. It is somewhat sweet, but not in a traditional sense, in a coffee sense. It's got really bright fun packaging and there's minimal waste with this product. I didn't get a chance to use the QR code to check the origins of this coffee but I absolutely will next time - that's such a cool feature. Just gives me an excuse to buy it again! This coffee is so good that it ranks up there in quality, taste, and acidity next to the coffee that we roast ourselves at home. We also love that it's organic and fair trade - this is coffee you can feel good about drinking. It makes a phenomenal cappuccino. We will absolutely busy this again! My family and I loved the sweet espresso medium dark roast. Once you open the bag, you will be totally blown away by how fragrant it is. I would say it's more dark than medium but my family loves a strong espresso so it was perfect for us. With a splash of almond milk, it is the perfect morning cup of coffee for us! I would definitely recommend Ethical Bean coffee and I'm really happy that it's available at Walmart, which makes it convenient to find. Each bag also has a QR code on it that you can scan on your phone and see the origins of the beans for that particular bag. The coffee comes packaged in a resealable bag, which is convenient and keeps the beans fresh until you're ready to grind them. Ethical Bean Sweet Espresso is a medium-dark roast coffee. I bought the whole bean version of this brew, and although I prefer something a tad lighter, the fresh, rich flavor was still satisfying (even though I didn't think it was as sweet as I expected it to be). In the end, Sweet Espresso is way too strong for me personally. A whole cup is too much for me. My mother, on the other hand, was in heaven because strong coffee is her 'thing.' So if you enjoy strong coffee, this is one to try definitely. I also like that Ethical Bean beans are 100% traceable, and yes, I used the QR code on the packaging to see where the beans originated (and learned they were roasted on my mother's birthday!). The coffee also comes from a Fair Trade source, which I like, because I feel good about supporting this type of business model.
