Etymotic ER20XS Earplugs (Concerts, Musicians, Airplanes, Motorcycles) - Large

I've been wearing these for about three years to every festival, rave, or concert, and I couldn't do without them. Pushed in all the way they do a great job at letting sound come through without your ears ringing, but pulled out juuuust a little, you can dial in the amount of noise you want. Absolute lifesavers- and they don't come out at all even if the tip is moistened a tiny bit.

my friend who is a piano tuner recommended these to me YEARS ago. I wear these even when I vacuum and dine at most restaurants. but these are also a MUST in my gear bag for when I sing at gigs and work as a flight attendant - I can have conversations AND save my ears from noise fatigue. even when I'm a passenger on planes, I wear these cuz if I don't, my ears will be ringing afterward! THANK YOU for helping preserve my hearing cuz frankly, loud noises are not only dangerous but they can be really irritating, whereas hearing my 2 year old niece's quiet lilting voice (which would otherwise be missed if I'd suffered hearing loss) is pure joy!

The plugs themselves don't stay on their lanyard very well, which is why I had to buy this current pair, but I do love that I can go to a concert without losing either quality of the sound or my hearing.

These are the best investment I have made on my ears! I used these at the recent Motley Crue stadium tour and these prevent post-concert hearing loss/ringing. The music was still perfectly clear. For one moment when I thought it was still pretty loud, I slightly removed one of the plugs and I realized it was keeping the volumes wayyyy lower than I had assumed. These were such a great purchase I am so satisfied! The plugs take a bit getting used to but perhaps a smaller size than the universal would have suited my ears better.

These earplugs work very well for me. They are easy to put on for rehearsals and concerts, but can be removed quickly when I need to talk with someone. I play French horn in large bands, so the earplugs give me protection not only from the loud sounds, but also from my own instrument. I tried custom-made musician's earplugs, but they were always difficult and time-consuming to fit properly in my ears. The ETY plugs work much better for me, although I guess they don't give as high a protection level as the custom ones would, were I able to insert them properly. They also allow me to hear the other musicians and my own instrument, just at a much lower volume. I also like the cord and carrying case, which I can attach to my instrument case so the plugs are always at hand.
