Evenflo® Big Kid™ Highback Booster, Sequioa

I am very pleased with this car seat. It is lightweight (good if you are moving from car to car) and easy to install. The seat is such that my granddaughter can get in & out easily herself (it is not bulky). I really like the extra protection provided for her head. Even though she is to big for the smaller fully cushioned carseats and I feel not big enough for the booster only - this gives me comfort knowing her head & neck are protected in case of an accident.

The only thing I don't like is the seat belt gets tight on the childs shoulder and there isn't a belt on it to connect it to the seat bar in the back. I now have to get another seat that the clip for the shoulder is on the side of the seat. Cause where it is now it hurts my grandson.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the Evenflo GoTime Sport Booster to review as a member of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I had my seven-year-old daughter try it out, and she helped me with this list of pros and cons: First, the pros: -It was fairly easy to put together and required no installation. -It has cup holders. -We liked the pattern! -The price point was affordable, although I didn't have to purchase the item. -The headrest is easy to adjust to the child's height, and it went tall enough for my girl! Now, the cons: -The headrest and sides were rather bulky and uncomfortable. -The arm rests were far too short for my 7-year-old. -The seat does NOT latch into the car. It just sits on top of the chair. This made it move around with every turn of the vehicle. Overall, neither of us were very impressed with the model. The main issue was that it was uncomfortable for my daughter to ride in, and honestly I wonder about its safety. It leaned to the side with every turn and I wonder whether it would be very effective in a crash. Yes, it meets the basic requirements for a booster by lifting the child into an appropriate height for the seatbelt. But if it doesn't stay in place, I don't see how his is helpful. I'd much rather invest in something compatable with the latch system in our car.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping for more from the Evenflo GoTime Sport Booster Seat when it arrived. Upon pulling it out of the box, it revealed thin fabric and padding over hard but cheap feeling plastic, and the decorative designs were alright but not very attractive in my opinion. I figured it would be okay once we put it into our car, so we got to work setting it up. Thankfully, it is very easy to install, and would work for one of my bigger littles, being meant for a child 40lbs and up. It should have fit well alongside other car seats from the information I had gathered, but it would not squeeze into our Kia Sorento alonside two other seats, unless we pulled one out and moved it to a totally different place. So that was very disappointing and not very helpful as we prefer to seat our three young kids near us, next to one another. Once we got it into the car, it was easy enough to install, just as a booster should be. We used the seat in backless mode, for our seven year old child. She typically uses a much cheaper seat with no complaint, but felt that this one was hard and uncomfortable. I was privileged to get to try this seat for free via the Stellar Product Parent testing Panel, but had I purchased it myself, I would be disappointed. I give this seat a solid three stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Evenflo GoTime Sport Booster Seat looks great and is incredibly easy to use! I received the product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I was able to try it in both modes. My younger son used it in high back mode and found the high back/head area more comfortable than other seats he has used. Transitioning it to backless took just seconds. My older son tried this mode, and found it pretty much the same as other seats. For our particular set up, the cupholders got in the way a bit, so I would like those to be a little more low profile. That alone, however, would not deter me from purchasing another of this seat for our use or from recommending it to others.
