We like this one much better than the Evenflo we bought for our older grandchild (2 years ago). This model (for only $15 more) has much easier to loosen and tighten seat belt for the 5 point harness (simply push a button down on the bottom front of the seat and pull at chest buckle to loosen; pull the strap to tighten). The belts are thicker, so they don't get doubled over (twisted) in the buckles. The buckles are all easy for us to operate, but difficult for the child to operate. I wish I could tell you the model number of the previous one we bought. It had one thin belt that weaves from the first contact point through all the buckles and back around, so loosening it is a real headache, and it gets doubled over all the time. Spend the extra $15 and get this model with the new and improved belts and buckles! I give it only 4 stars because it seems less sturdy and comfortable than the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1, but that one is expensive enough to put in Mom and Dad's cars. The Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 also comes with neck protection pads for where the seatbelt comes in contact with the child's neck (we happened to still have seatbelt-wrapping neck guards we had used in the baby's car seat).
I needed to move my baby into our convertible car seat, but didn't want a seatbelt-only booster for my 2 year old son. This seat is not tiny, and would be fine if it were the only carseat in a smaller vehicle, but as we have two carseats in our Blazer, it works great. I personally think it would be too bulky if it were in, say, a Corolla with another carseat. The harness was a big plus, and I like how the straps and buckle are designed. I also LOVE that the cupholders are big enough for my son's square-shaped sippy cups. The anchor strap could have been longer; at its longest length it just barely clips onto our carseat anchors, which are at the back of the trunk. Also, the little pillow that comes with it is totally flimsy and useless; my son didn't like it and I took it off. There's plenty of padding around the head area and in the bottom area. Feels sturdy, easy to figure it all out.
It's lightweight carseat. Has two cup holders. Is fairly simple to put in. My only dislike is when my grandson falls asleep his head falls forward because the seat has no recline to it.
We bought this seat for my son as his second seat. It is lightweight, easy to strap in the car, and will last many years.
I love it! Cute, easy to use an install, light weight, doesn't take up a lot of space, and reasonably priced! I wished I would have find this carseat sooner.
