The best features of this product are that if you do not have an electric outlet or batteries available, this manual pump could be used. Likewise, it is great for travel taking up minimal amount of space, no noise and it is easy to use. The cons of this product are that it is manual, where as electric is quicker and you have the option of being hands-free. This product does pinch the breast. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this pump to try and review!
Since going back to work after maternity leave, pumping has become a huge priority for me so I can continue to breastfeed my son. In addition to an electric pump, I've found having the Evenflo manual breast pump on hand to be super helpful - it's great to use when I have a few free moments but not enough time to fully set up my electric pump! Overall, I've been impressed with this pump - the best features are that it's easy to use, well-designed and is small enough to throw in a purse when I'm on the go! Additional pros/cons: Pros: - Great suction / let down from the first pump. Other manual pumps I've tried have required a lot of manual pumps before milk lets down. - Little to no learning curve - just sterilize the parts and get started! - Great instruction manual included with the pump, including links to breastfeeding resources - Easy to disassemble and clean and dishwasher safe (except for a couple of the pieces) - Affordable and accessible for breastfeeding moms! Cons: - Since the suction is so strong, I had to be careful not to use too much pressure - Multiple small parts that could get lost during cleaning If you are looking for a simple and highly functional manual breast pump, I recommend the Evenflo Manual pump! It's a great option for moms on the go - I plan to use mine for many more months as I continue to breastfeed my son. Many thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this pump to try!
I really wanted to love this pump. It is very lightweight, it was super easy to clean and assemble. You could adjust the amount of suction just by how hard or fast you squeezed. It fit very nicely in my diaper bag and would be great for relieving pressure. . Unfortunately, I have torpedoed breasts, so the flange was too flat for me to get a proper seal. I'm sure If I had purchased the varying sizes I would have found something more adequate. I am very greatful to WeeSpring Parent Panel for giving me the opportunity to try out this pump.
I got to try out the Evenflo Manual breast pump recently. It works pretty well and is easy to hold and use. I thought it might be complicated it clean, but it isn't, and it comes with the spare stretchy part that provides resistance, which seems like the easiest part to lose or wear out. I do also have a Lanisoh Momma Manual, so I will compare the two. The Lanisoh has 2 settings--one to stimulate let down and another to pump the milk. I like this feature, but even without it, the Evenflo pump works well and seems to pump a good amount of milk. I wish I had had it sooner. My baby is now 8 months old, so it's not as easy to pump with a manual as it was at first, but it still seems to work pretty well. The other thing I do like a little better about the Lanisoh pump is that it pumps into a wide-mouth bottle that you can easily screw a nipple top on. This comes in handy, because I sometimes use the manual pump on car trips and then it's easy to feed her right away. I find the evenflo a little easier to hold and do some manual stimulation while pumping. Both seem to work pretty well; just a matter of personal preference, I guess! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this pump!
I had this product for a little less than a week and it already stopped correctly, while yes it still pumps out milk, it lost a lot of its suction and is very difficult for me to use. I have very little use for it and decided to buy the electric pump, this as well is very ineffective.
