Evenflo Walk-Thru Top Of Stairs Baby Gate, Fits Openings 30 - 48 in. Wide

We use this gate to keep our pets in the laundry room when we go away. It's sturdy enough they can't knock it down and there's no cross bar/support for them to climb.

In twelve years of using baby gates, this one takes the cake. It's NOT a one handed gate. In fact, with two hands you might still get pinched closing it. The paint gets scraped off, the locking mechanism is clumsy, the gate sections don't slide back and forth easily which they need to for opening and closing. This gate is getting returned. If it wasn't so badly over priced it would be falling sideways a great distance.

Product is only average. Does the job but the screws didn't fit and had to use my own. I like that it matches my hardwoods but that's it. For the price of this gate I was expecting better.. the open and close sliding isn't the smoothest but works. If I was to purchase again I'd choose a different gate model/brand.

We ordered this gate to replace one that had gotten broken, this gate is tall and wide enough for what we needed, however it is so hard to unlock our 9 ur old cant open it. its like it gets stuck every time. Next time Ill order the more expensive one at lowes that osnt such a hassel to lock and unlock.

Sturdy gate, seems to work very effectively for our 21 month old. The only issue we had was the mechanism that clips in to close the gate was too wide to fit into the socket and we had to use pliers to narrow it, so the gate didn't function in the condition it arrived, but it was a relatively easy to fix.
