I am very much a beginner but I was able to set up this machine and repair a seam in a pair of shorts within an hour of taking it out of the box. The instructions were very helpful and walked me through the full setup. My favorite aspects are the handle to easily move the machine around and the fact that there are plenty of features to explore (I anticipate this machine would serve a more seasoned sewer as well). My only complaint is that the power cord could be a bit longer, but it's easy enough to use an extension cord.

It's got so many different stitch patterns and adjustments to get just what you want. It may be a little intimidating at first, but even a novice can get through the directions and start sewing. The foot pedal isn't too sensitive and makes it easy to adjust sewing speed. This will make life so much easier when something. We'd to be fixed or hemmed, and it will look much better than my free-hand!

The stitch length dial is great and the led sewing light works wonders. Definitely will keep this one for a long time and use it constantly.

In fact, it came pre-threaded to show how it's done so I didn't even need to read the instructions to thread it and start sewing. I sewed up some pouches with straight lines within the first couple of hours I received it, and it was quick, light, and got the job done exactly as I needed. I'm so impressed and excited to finally have a sewing machine again that's actually straight forward and usable. 10/10 love it already. Would recommend.
