Fuse did not blow, it just melted. Huge fire hazard.
Walmart sent a different brand from what we ordered. Quality dubious, but it's doing the job.
purchase this to replace a broken plug. After replacing the plug, I used the device for the first time within the first 30 seconds the included fuse blew. Thankfully, I still had the fuse from the original broken plug. I replaced the plug and everything works as expected. I may have got a bad roll of the dice, just have an additional fuse handy in case you may need one.
Product is rated for 5 amps, but it melted itself when used with a 4 amp load. The spring is not thick enough wire to handle the current. The plastic cannot handle the heat and starts melting. Tried 2 different plugs and problem happened with both. I verified the current draw with a multimeter.
This is a handy universal 12 volt accessory plug, can be used as a tester, or wired into any 12 volt accessory, the LED light makes it easy to see if you have power to your accessory, the easy to replace fuse makes this a great product for DIY mechanics etc
