I was unwilling to pay an arm and a leg for a coat I would wear for just a few months! I came across this on Walmart.com and thought I would try it. The fit is great and I still have a bit of room to grow so it should last me through my whole pregnancy just fine. Although there is no "maternity" label it is a true maternity fit. It's also light yet warm (warm being a must in the northern states during winter!). I would definitely recommend this to any mother-to-be.
Tried this on and the sleeves are 6 inches too short. one of the sleeve linings was sewn at a quarter turn from what it should have been, and the cuff was ripped when I received it. Hopefully it was just a defective article and not the way the whole batch was run. To top it all off, I don't look pregnant in it, I look like I'm wearing a coat that's 3 sizes too big around the waist and 2 sizes too small at the top. Don't waste your time ordering and returning, find a different coat!
After reading all reviews I took a chance on buying this coat! Being 8 months pregnant with only a few cold weeks left this does the job! I bought the large, and still have some room to grow in it. I refused to buy an 80-100$ maternity winter coat for such a short time. It's very stylish not heavy which is what i was looking for, but still keeps you warm in this New England cold weather I can wear it post baby also. I've gotten compliments on it, and everyone says it looks like a regular winter coat....only thing I would have loved was if the sleeves were just a bit longer I would have given it 5 stars! Best 30$ (with shipping) I've ever spent!
I needed a winter coat just to last thru January and did not want to spend much money since I'm a stay at home mom and don't go out a lot. I'm really big being 7 months pregnant so I wasn't sure I should get a L or XL. I normally wear a L but my belly is much bigger this pregnancy so I've had to get some XL but after reading reviews I ordered the L since people were saying it was running really L. I'm glad I bought the L but at the same time it barely fits my belly and I'm afraid I might get a little bigger before it's time and it won't close. It's a little big other places but the belly so if I'd gotten an XL it would have been WAY too big everywhere else. I hope it still zips but for $20 I can't expect too much. Is just to have something.
The coat is great for the price. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I will only be wearing this for about 1 & 1/2 months. I normally wear between a medium and large. I have long arms so I opted for the large. The sleeves are rather short for a large. I can not tuck my hands inside like I can with most other coats that are a large. The coat is warm and has pockets on the outside with a button closure. Its definitely worth the $20.
