Teen jump-roping star Emily (Olesya Rulin) is fed up with her parents (Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Modine), who seem to have forgotten she exists. In a fit of desperation, she decides to kidnap them and hold them hostage until they shape up. She enlists the help from her quirky siblings and eccentric grandma (Shirley Jones) but things quickly go south and soon the whole debacle ends up in chaos... and that's when the family finally figures out what matters most.
