Fellowes Neptune3 125 Advanced 4-Roller Laminator

We just replaced our old Fellowes Jupiter 125 laminator that lasted for 4 - 5 years under moderate office use. The AutoSense on the Neptune model is a great idea. Easy to setup and use. Just puttin "Average" for the "Performance or Durability" rating yet as it is new, but if it performs as well as it's predecessor it'll be a decent unit.

The Fellowes Neptune 3 Office Laminator is a dream come true for me. I've always wanted a laminator but never took the step to purchase one of my own. I don't even want to think about all the money I've spent having my projects professionally laminated when I could have been doing it myself at home. The Fellowes Neptune 3 Office Laminator is easy to use. I love the convenient desktop size. The on/off button is easily acessible on the back of the machine with the controls on the front. The control buttons light up, which makes them clear and visable. The control panel is a touch screen with different colors for each button. There's a handy removeable exit tray that catches the finished project. This particular Fellowes Laminator is capable of laminating pouches 7 mil thick. It heats up in just 60 seconds and takes only 30 seconds to complete a lamination job. The auto-reverse is a must for me. If I get in a bigger hurry than is really necessary, the auto/reverse protects any project that isn't fed into the laminator correctly. And the auto shut-off prevents over-heating. Another must for me! Quick and simple professional lamination at home!

If you love to laminate as I do you must have this machine!!!! I have owned many laminators before this one always before you sat and waited for it to warm up on this Neptune3 125 gets warm in about 30 seconds well under a minute. It is wide enough for most normal projects all you have to do is put your item in the laminating pouch then insert it into the laminator closed end first and it does everything else for you. This laminator has a release in case of a jam I did not need this feature I laminated many documents without and failures or problems of any kind. I even dug out a letter I wrote to Santa when I was a young boy to laminate I never trusted any of them I had used in the past but this one worked perfect as you will see in the pictures. If you want a quality laminator buy this one it is well worth the price if you are half as happy as I am with this machine you will not regret buying this one!!!!!!

I am reviewing Fellowes Neptune3 125 Laminator . The laminator was larger than I anticipated, almost like you would see in a copy store. It came with a package of laminating sheets. Its fairly heavy and does take up space. The first time that I used it was only laminating a few small ID type cards so I cut off some of the laminating material to save the rest to save the rest of the paper. I cut off the folded end which was a big mistake. The laminating paper and the ID cards got jammed into the machine. It was entirely my fault. It looks like you need to always keep the folded part and that needs to go into the machine first. When I tried again with just the 2 little cards there was no enough weight for the cards to move through. I took it apart and put a 1/4 sheet of paper near the fold and the cards below. That worked! If you follow the directions it runs fine. It is not something that children should operate as it gets quite hot.

I was so excited to use this laminator, but apprehensive to use it. My perception after opening the box, was that it would require a lot of instruction, and the laminator itself would be loud when in use. I was so wrong. The instructions were just a few pages, and really that is all that is required to start laminating. The machine is very quiet. it literally just buzzes through the pages. I run a business that requires tons of checklists on a daily basis, I would spend hours weekly copying, and organizing checklists. With the laminator I was hoping to be able to laminate and use dry erase markers, therefore eliminating the hundreds of pages I normally copy each week. It worked like a charm. It takes just a few seconds to laminate a page. So I started laminating family pictures. I laminated 50 plus pages in less than 30 minutes. It has settings for photos and various sizes. the laminator also has the option to use heat to laminate or cold laminating. I used the heat for all of mine, I thought it would seal better. There is a slight smell of hot plastic, but honestly the pages came out warm and perfectly sealed. There is a power button on the machine, and it also will go into sleep mode after 30 minutes of no use. For me, that is a great feature. I highly recommend this laminator!
