Fellowes Powershred P-5S - 5 Sheet Strip Cut Paper Shredder

I had bought this shredder a few weeks ago and I'm not sure what happened with my first one. It stopped working after about a week. But, excellent service so I got a free replacement after some troubleshooting. It's working well and I just hope it lasts!

IF YOU PUT A STAPLED DOCUMENT IN WITH THE BOTTOM DOWN (FIRST) THE PAGES DO NOT ENTER EVENLY AND THE SHREDDER JAMS WITHOUT ANY CHANCE OF MANUAL UNJAMMING... THE SHREDDER IS TOTALLY UNCLEANABLE, TOTALLY UNJAMMABLE. ALWAYS PUT STAPLED DOCS IN STAPLE (TOP) DOWN (FIRST). YOUR REGISTRATION WEBSITE DOES NOT WORK.

Shredded what I wanted it to shred but made a mess when emptying each time. The switch is out but the shredder is still running. Other than that a good product.

I bought this shredder for the purpose of getting rid of mail or papers containing my personal information. I would like if it shredded credit/debit cards though, but it does not. It is small, with a nice design, and was very affordable. So far I think it was a smart purchase.

It says it will shred 5 pages, but those pages must be pretty light paper. Under heavier weight paper, the unit bogs down and you'll likely find yourself going to three sheets. As this unit replaces a previous one I purchased, I will not be shredding credit/debit cards or other thick items. That activity broke the my previous shredder, which was a similar fellowes shredder. I like some of the new features on this one that prevent jamming and I recommend it for home use.
