Filtrete Allergen Reduction HVAC Furnace Air Filter, 1200 MPR, 18 x 30 x 1, 1 Filter

I love that I never know it's there. My house is always allergen free without worry and I have never had a problem in the 10+ years I have been using them. Replaced a very dirty filter that was more than 2 years old, yikes! We don't use the heater very often. No matter, the filter was full of dust. Going to change out earlier next year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have lived in a home built in 2000 and have been buying 3M Filtrete filters almost as long. 20x36x1 is an odd dimension, though easily found in bulk at good rates. These are high quality filters which DO reduce the amount of allergans in the air, reduce the amount of dust in the house and reduce potential damage to a large two-zone HVAC system. I use these "moderately" with heating and/or cooling, adding a length of hidden 1" "gasket" material along one edge for perfect fitment so the element remains "airtight," non-moving and is efficient in the ceiling/housing. Never had any issue with maintenance and every filter has been in great shape. Never reached the point of someone coughing/sneezing as an indication a filter needs replacement! No torn or failed elements. Very tough, resilient filters even at the end of their suggested 3-month cycle/life. Thanks! JA [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We really enjoy this product. We've bought a few of them now and they work great. Only thing is, and the reason for the 4 stars, research showed us that there should be at least 18 peaks per ft. for max. efficiency, this only has 17. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I use a 3 month rotation and find this filter keeps the house clean of most allergens. It's easy to install in a tough slot in the furnace as it has a good frame.
