Fire Sense 30 in. Portsmouth Weathered Bronze Fire Pit with FREE Cover

I live in sunny California. I've owned my fire pit for 6 weeks, covered by the ""free cover"". We used it once when new. We had two days of rain and when uncovering it today, it was completely rusted inside.

The fire pit arrived sooner than predicted. It had all the necessary parts (the fire bowl itself was slightly dented with no effect on functionality), and assembly was straightforward, rapid and easy. Construction was light weight, but adequately rigid once assembly was complete. The fire bowl simply rests on the base, which makes cleaning easy. However, one cannot rest one's feet on the edge of the bowl for fear of sliding it off the base, and an errant stumble into the fire pit could knock a fire out onto the underlying surface (e.g. a deck floor). All things considered, this product represents good value for the price and should, with reasonable care and maintenance, serve for several years.

The fire pit was incredible easy to put together and easy to move around. The dome cover fits well preventing any ash, debris or larger sparks to fly away. The cover that comes with the product is of decent quality material. Pros: Incredible value for the price Free cover and shipping are hard to beat Easy installation and portability Great fire pit to make smores or sit around the fire at night Weight makes the fire pit very easy to clean Cons: The depth of the fire pit and height of the cover do not allow for more than 1-2 pieces of firewood of kindling. Would've been nice to have a larger space between the two to allow for space.

I bought the fire pit because I liked the base, but knew for the price it would likely be flimsy. But when it arrived it appeared to be damaged from just getting boxed up. The fire bowl is so light weight that it bends with a gentle pressure. I'm sure if I used it the use would damage the pit too much to keep out in a public space. I'm going to return it. It gets points for having nice style.

I got this on sale - 30% off. The materials are very lightweight and it was easy to assemble. The only nuisance is that the bottom piece is not the same circular shape as the rest. It is just slightly off. You can't really tell once it's out together, but I noticed. The fire bowl also does not have any holes for moisture to drain from the ashes.
