Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler Rocker - Navy Dot

I purchased this rocker for my 8.5 month old. When I received this in the mail, I didn't realize I had to assemble it. At least the directions were easy to follow and all the parts were there. After assembly, the chair seemed very sturdy and it made me proud of myself being able to put it together! Regarding the assembly, I did not like that the toy bar was just a clip in. The manual says not to carry using the toy bar... That is NOT obvious if you look at the rocker. It definitely LOOKS like a handle bar used for carrying. DON'T! It can detach pretty easily. As a pre-toddler, my son was not very interested in sitting in the rocker. He liked to walk up with it to bat the toys on the toy bar, but if you sat him in it he would want to get up immediately. I think maybe a few months ago when he wasn't crawling yet, he would enjoy the rocker much more (vibrations and toy bar). Sadly, the toys on the toy bar are NOT detachable. Also, as a toddler chair, since my son is a pre-toddler, the natural resting position of the rocker has the seat too high up for my son to sit on. I'd imagine he will have to learn to use his hand to push the seat down into a sitting height before actually being able to sit in it. I definitely think that discourages learning to sit in a chair. I do love the pattern and the colors of this rocker and it seems that it will last a long time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Infant to Toddler Rocker's biggest appeal to us was the versatility. Having a two-year old and a 3 month old, our toddler tries to climb in her brother's seat anyway so this was perfect as it can convert to a rocker that she can use now and he will be able to use for a few years!! Anytime we can extend usage of baby items, I get excited. If you are going to spend the money, you want the longevity and durability. Mattel's name promises that and the 40lb limit is something I could not find with similar products. I received this product for free and in return for an unbiased review. I have a 14 month very active boy. This rocker is built great and is very sturdy if you use the screws that are included. My son was immediately attracted to the bright colors. He loved the toys that were attached to the toy bar and enjoyed playing with them. When he sat in the chair he immediately jumped out of the chair. For my son he doesn't sit still but he loved rocking the chair! This rocker would be great for a younger child but for a toddler seat it is not for my son. My one compliant about this product is the kick stand. The kick stand is at the front of the product when the kick stand is activated it pushes the front up which is hard for a toddler to crawl into. I would have loved to see the kick stand at the back to stop the rocking and keeps the front lower to the ground to keep it easier to crawl into. The look of the product is sleek and very modern. Just got this new rocker for my little one. So far she seems to love it. It's perfect for playtime and nap time. She wears herself out with the hanging toys then is rocked to sleep. Colors are bright. Product seems sturdy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

When I received the Infant to Toddler Rocker, I expected to use it primarily for my newborn daughter. Once I had assembled the rocker, my 2 year old immediately claimed the seat as her own. The removable toy bar was essential, as my older daughter could not easily climb in when it was attached. I did like the toy bar however for my infant. Assembly was relatively easy, although I did have a little trouble figuring out where one part fit together. I was able to get it together eventually. I liked how the seat snapped in easily without too many screws required. The seat seemed sturdy despite the easy assembly and has held up to my older daughter's energetic rocking. The seat was also lightweight enough to be moved easily. The addition of the kickstand made me more comfortable placing my infant in the rocker.
