I bought this dollhouse for my granddaughters, and they were very excited to receive this gift. They began playing with it right away and were enjoying it alot. However, within a day, the paint began to chip off the figures, and the Dad's face is almost completely gone now. They have not been rough with it, so there is really no reason why this should have happened, except that the workmanship is shoddy. I will try to call Fisher Price and see if they have better quality replacements for the dolls.

I love this and I bought this for my daughter 2 years ago and she is going to be turning 6 and she has a great imagination she always plays with it, you can always buy the other accesories but this is still a great start off doll house for any child so they can learn to take care it and you dont want to buy an expensive doll house for your child who might only play with it for one day, I see that my daughter LOVES doll houses so this x-mas I want to buy her the critter house the one with the animals in it :) Happy Holidays :)

My 2 year old (33 mos old) loves doll houses. She's also pretty rough on toys so I couldn't have something that was too delicate. This does the job for the most part. She's playing with it for the first time Christmas morning and she's already found that the family members don't sit well on the furniture. They slide off without being jarred. The mother falls out of the rocking chair (sold separately) and the baby tilts the cradle to one side (sold separately). It's a good idea but the execution could have been better. The furniture should be more usable with the people. She's playing with it and enjoying it most by using her existing Little People toys. For what it is, it's worth it at this price point but don't invest heavily in the accessories for this specific products.

I just love this doll house, but of course, my 22 month old loves it too! I do not think at all you need to wait to 2 yrs old to get for your child. I think 18 months and up would be just fine with it. The chunky figures it describes are so great for their hands. They bend at the hip, which is a little tough for the kiddos, but my daughter figured it out within a few hours. She plays with this several times a day, and calls all the figures by name, moommy daddy and baby. She engages in alot of independent play which is good for her, and i hear her chattering to them and role playing. There are more sets to go with this house that I had to order seperatly. I ordered the mom and dads room set (bed, lamp and armoire, $10) and the babies room (cradle, rocking chir and toy, $10). They also have a big sister room and a grandma and a living room. I had to order that from the Fisher Price site tho. All in all, one of the best toys I have bought!
