Got for 4yr old son Christmas 2012. 6 months later,May 2013, its ready for service. Tire has hole in it already and shifter no longer works in reverse or hi speed forward. These ride ons are plastic and are not made well for the ruggedness they are advertised as. This was ridden very little from Christmas to March due to cold weather so it is prone to quick failure. I see lots of repair visits in its future. Get the extended warranty! No if ands or buts!! Truck has been driven mostly on asphalt. Does well in grass and dirt. Traction is not so great on steep inclines. On the positive son loves it. Its cool looking. Walmart has best price. I got the warranty! Give yourself 1-2 hours to assemble depending on your skill level. It comes in many pieces.

This is our second Power Wheels Jeep. Our first Barbie Jeep finally died after many years. We decided to get this jeep b/c it can hold more weight. Our kids love it! We have a huge backyard next to a lake and the kids take it everywhere. The radio works better than the one in my car.

I loved this jeep, it is sturdy and can handle the speed bumps in my neighbourhood. However it isn't very fast as compared to the other smaller vehicles in the Fisher Price range. My nephew owns the little red car and my daughter owns the jeep and even though both cars go at the same speed, the red car is much faster because I reckon it's smaller and lighter than the jeep. Therefore if you are looking for more speed I'd recommend the red car but if you're looking for a bigger vehicle that can really handle some rough handling, I'd go for the jeep. Also my daughter will get more use out of the jeep as she grows taller as opposed to the little red car. Loved the accessories and the interactive speaking telling the kids whether they were in forward gear or reverse gear. Very cute.

easy to assemble; so far have gotten great use from it; it's held up well. That being said, the areas I already know will wear first are the axle covers inside of wheels (they are plastic - a steel kotter pin - 1.49 at Lowe's - would work just as well and won't break), and the wheels themselves...I'll probably replace with rubber tires when that happens. Other than those 2 expectations, it is rugged, battery life is decent, and functionality is good.

We live in the country so the all terrain was a must to say the least! It was getting stuck a bit (not a lot) when I had the safety screw in (only allows one gear vs. two). Once my 5 year old had the stearing down I took it out and he is cruising! He isn't getting stuck at all! He has had lots of fun going through mud puddles!!! The tires are plastic but they go pretty well! The only suggestion is the battery! You defiantly need another to keep up! When it was in low gear only it was o.k. but now it is high and it has about 4 hours or so and then it takes about 5 hours to charge it to get about 2 more. 14 hours is needed for a full charge! Just get another battery! We also placed a wagon behind it to pull leaves to the burn pile! He loves it! Overall it is awesome...oh and the radio rocks! It's a heck of a lot better than anticipated but for $450 it should be gold plated! :) It was worth the money to see the smiles!
